  1. You are welcome. Always happy to share. The world has been tough and these have been trying times for us all. We could all use some entertainment and enjoyment.
  2. I was just happy to have made the list. I was among excellent company.
  3. 6 months you say? Well a lot has happened. We had a guy from England get upset that his Back to the Future Promo was not listed as the 1st appearance of Back to the Future and started calling a lot of us "Whoppers" which ended up pretty "Conic" we also had this come up .which sparked debate. which also led to many other discussions. Eventually the same person decided to post this. Which after attempting to have his books graded lead to .. Which since almost every topic involving said person all have ended the same. So much so they started a topic about locks. Mean while .. @kav has been trying to collect Greggies all while several Greggy threads have appeared. Greggy has only while just continuing to dominate the TAT , This week in your collection, and Back from CGC threads. There have been a BIG up tick in nominations for PL and HOS including one who attempted to buy a slabbed book , crack it out and return just the broken slab, while keeping the book and trying to keep the money. Turns out the boards were all over this. And found out that which lead to the money being refunded and the seller made whole as well as the buyer being outed and added to the PL/HOS. Plus if you used your moderns for toilet paper, well you may have just SH!+ on some decent profit as turns out speculation is good for driving the prices on books WAY up..
  4. I do not know exactly how scarce it is, but I do not have a copy , and would pick it up if it were near me. If nothing else I would be interested in it .
  5. I would agree with all of this. I will add that Henson also did several ads others have mentioned Purina with Rowlf, but in addition to that he also did Wilkins Coffee , and the big backer of Sam and Friends Esskay meats. Any of these could have produced handouts , giveaways etc that could potentially be called comics and contain the true first appearance of what is today known as the Muppets. That said I was unable to locate anything that could be called the comic first appearance, but here are some early examples.
  6. When sending in cards for submission I use penny sleeve, in top loader, but I also use the post its cut into flags, which are then folded over the top to keep card from coming out. This also provides a safe way to remove the penny sleeve from the top loader. I also make sure to fold the edge of any painters tape I use for easy removal. Here are some pictures I took showing how I package and materials used , so I could share with a friend who was getting ready for his first submission. The white is foam board , which I found to be stronger than cardboard and cheaper. I then wrap this is bubble wrap and place inside of box. The above example is for one card, but multiple cards can be used . Also of note, when I use an plain envelope I do not seal it , again for ease of opening.
  7. Nice pick ups . Does the Scooby-Doo contain the V for Vendetta ad?
  8. Definitely agree if they are the replicas or facsimile STAY AWAY ( counterfeit) , but as stated there are some reprints that are ok and can be slabbed. The Batman 1 and Superman 1 had Masterpiece Editions that are good and low census numbers in higher grade due to the box they came in causing damage. Also with the Action Comics 1 they have had several reprints that are also legitimate and worth slabbing. In addition to the ones above ( Safeguard, USPS) there is the Sleeping Bag, Nestle Quick, Peanut Butter, 50th anniversary, $1 & 10cent 1990's as well as the black box 50 cent, Millennium, Loot Crate, Convention Editions. Equally the Detective comics also had a bunch. Nabisco Oreo, The Toys R Us, Millennium, Loot Crate , and Convention Editions
  9. Now watch we will see some oddity come out of the wood work with double cover, double insert, siamese pages...
  10. More terms left off. RRP. Unopened.( see also never read or sealed.) And this is referring to raw books in aftermarket bags/ boards not factory pack. 11. See I live in Florida, but pretty close to the Alabama line. Which has a bar the Flora-Bama each year they hold the annual Mullet toss. Which is not quite like it sounds. They throw Mullet across the state line. Not toss their mullet. Although this can be observed in the crowd it is not the reason for the name of the event.
  12. Think he has every right to look so upset when they have him packing a mullet and a camel toe.
  13. Plus even though those are pretty bad. This one is just all around horrid.
  14. While that may be so, this is also one of the hardest to find DC Universe Logo Variants. making it one Rare mullet ...
  15. Ah.. I see it now. Haha.. yeah I remember getting most of these at Most a big discounts as I was really there to pick up comic packs, but when I saw them on sale would pick them up. Then years later when I was working on completing my DC non sports cards sets including all promos I realized that most of the DC Superman Joe Jusko cards I already had. Still had to get a few, but in the process ended up finding them already opened for a cheap price.
  16. But to get back on topic. Best way to beat Aliens? Grow a Super-Mullet with Pony Tail!
  17. Here is what someone who should really rethink their life choices looks like.
  18. Well we are more likely with the current mash ups at DC to see a TMNT / Superman where they give Superman the classic Fish Gill Mullet
  19. I actually saw the movie in 4D at the Epcot Center at Disney for its release. 4D being a 3D movie that they would spray certain scents and water during scenes in the movie as well as fans for effect. It was actually pretty awesome.
