  1. Another amazing piece and completely different form of art. I really like this one as well. (Now I am wanting to ask the completely impolite question of what this burnt and the cut out covers cost to commission) Regardless these are all just awesome.
  2. I agree. I do believe these magazines are mock ups. The Newsweek appears to be a compilation of the Kennedy berliner speech and one of his memorial photos used in magazines. The Hot Rod magazine I could not find one to match and same goes for the Mad magazine and the Time with the Kennedy Cover ( found a few that were close , but not that image) . I could be wrong , however after looking for all four of these and unable to locate any of them , I would agree that they are mock ups.
  3. Either way congratulations on these amazing looking pieces of art!
  4. I appreciate it. Glad to hear that they are still managing to meet or exceed their advertised TAT. I usually do general modern submissions or prescreen and have a better idea of those TAT. That or I send some to Joey first depending on the books. Which I do understand that pressing can take a while. Think my last press sub was right about 7 months door to door. It is the CCS that I have never used and was unsure of and this is the first in house signing I have subbed. Thank you again.
  5. These do look amazing, but I am a little confused by these. So he cuts the images out of the existing covers, but the still grade universal 9.8? Kind of surprised as this technically removes parts of the cover , so shouldn't this get the dreaded Green/Yellow to be a 9.8 or take a grade hit for missing pieces of covers? Again do not get me wrong , I do really think these are awesome. Congratulations!!
  6. Thank you for the information and reply. I figured as much, which is the only reason I haven't picked up the phone. Still when the advertised a guaranteed TAT for these in house signings they need to keep to it. Especially considering the price they have asked for some of these.. That or they need to do the same they have for the rest and keep the prices lower and not guarantee a specific TAT.
  7. Speaking of shipped, signed for, recieved.. Shipped 10/14/20 Signed for on 10/19/20 Also starting to wonder about this Bill Morrison in house signing. He left last week. When they posted a video on Facbook I was happy to see one of my books selected to be shown( The Beatles) in a video that was mostly Simpsons/ Futurama books ( Green PaintersTape Window Bag) However now that he has been gone almost a week and these books should either be moving into grading or as I opted on these for the press as well , to CCS yet my submission still sits at received. Clearly they opened and pulled one of my books so why no update on the status?
  8. The new norm has been for them to use the not marked received as a way to pad their turn around times.
  9. Bill Morrison finished signing about 6 days and on CGC Facebook they have posted some J Scott Campbell signing and answering question the last few hours , so looks like he started signing.
  10. This is really sad to see. I hope you get your money back. Another transaction similar happened recently and was discussed here on the boards. They way that member got his money back from PayPal was uploading images of the returned package where it showed the weight as there was no way they shipped back the book when the weight was so light.
  11. I was not suggesting that is what she was doing, just kinda chuckled when I heard my grandpa's words echo in my head , and thought I would share his ol' wisdom o-the-hills. Especially considering how often his advise was either too vulgar for the boards, or completely incoherent.
  12. As I was growing up, I was instilled with some of my grandfathers , " good ol' hillbilly wisdom." Where one night half drunk around a campfire he said, " Boy make sure you marry the ugly one, the pretty one will make you the wife."
