CGC is supposed to separate and place notations about reprints, facsimile, second printings, etc. Although as I showed above there have been some mistakes. Which is why you did the right thing questioning it. Since you mentioned it (Spider-man) one of the bigger issues CGC had with labels of Ultimate Fallout 4 there were a few they incorrectly have labels that look like a first that are not.. HUGE difference between the price on those. There also were a few with special labels (characters) that are Blue label that have restoration to be aware of. Good thing is that you found the community of collector's that will gladly help and there is a TON of information here.

(Curtains lift) An R2D2 comes onto the stage accompanied by two BB8 on either side of him. Across the stage is Leia in chains looking exhausted after the past 20 minutes with the Dark Saber. Is the force strong enough with her ? She thought as she saw these droids.

Depending on the size of her "Dark Side" he is already shaped like one.

They have since fixed the census of this mistake. That said. It would probably be best if the OP just post a picture if he is in doubt. 1 look from most of the board members will tell you if it is correct or not. It is unfortunate, but I would not solely believe CGC.

Several wondered this with the other books that have been done this way, but they didn't disclose price or options. Neither did CGC. This was discussed about the "Gold" Superman books. Supposedly the whole print run (not exactly sure on the minimum number but somewhere near 1,000) books were printed. Then shipped directly to CGC. Then CGC was supposed to go through and grade 300 of them at least 9.8+ the rest were supposed to be destroyed by CGC so that no copies would be out in circulation that were not graded. Although at least 1 or 2 hit ebay raw and if I remember correctly there was a scramble to try to find out how as the graded ones had not made it back as there were issues with the grading process/ new cases and the highly reflective foil and they were delayed. Some speculation that they might have been printers proof copies .

I wonder how many times Mike has read posts in this thread and just wished he could post some of these..

Probably referencing the old glass company CGC hired to develop their new " Ultra Clear Cases" that they no longer take back when they look like this..
