  1. It does not count if you do not have a 9.8 #222 or #227 in the mix. I wish.... Those books are not rearing their heads anywhere. But to give a little taste of what Adams books are on their way, not sure when they will be in my hands, 2 months at the most: Batman #219 CGC 9.6 Batman #222 CGC 9.4 Batman #225 CGC 9.6 Batman #243 CGC 9.4 Batman #245 CGC 9.6 Where the heck do you guys find your raw books any way? All the LCSs have and eBay is not much better.
  2. Freaking sweet. Makes my 9.4 very jealous. Makes my 9.2 want to go hide in the closet
  3. Was that your 9.2 that sold on eBay a couple of months ago? That did go for slightly over $900 and it was not as nice as this copy. Using that as a yard stick, then you're probably right and this copy may easily break a $1000. It's already at $750.
  4. Well, it hasn't slowed down overnight. Up at $650 now. Very impressive spurt for just the first few hours. I'm surprised at how fast 221 and 236 got up there in price as well.
  5. A very nice 9.2, albeit w/OW pages, just showed up at CL. Just in time for the DKR I guess Anyway, anyone want to start with the predictions? I'd say about $900 due to the PQ, but that wrap is incredibly nice though.
  6. That's a nice set and has fantastic, inherent historical value but without the cover and Irv Novick's art... bleh It is funny, for me, on some of these once you see the inside of the book the desire to own it goes down a bit. I love Jeff Jones and was an underbidder at just under $800 for the recent ww 200 9.6 that sold on clink back in March I think. Recently both ww 199 and 200 showed up on comixology so I downloaded and read the issues. Now that I've read the story and seen the art, I'm not sure that I'm in the market for a WW200 anymore. What? No Don Heck love here?
  7. Well, the "set" is back. Let's hope it stays intact. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Complete-Hand-Drawn-Artwork-For-Batman-1979-15-Sheets-/200754198450
  8. Crappy camera pic. OK, they're reader copies, but I don't care. I've finally got the entire Manhunter run in Detective.
  9. I bought a CGC 9.2 Tec 404 from this seller a few weeks ago. Shipped very promptly and it was packaged very well.
  10. I bought the GL off the stands back in the day. I also bought a VF raw copy of the Batman one recently off eBay. Great books.
  11. I was hoping to have found a decent copy or two at the BostonCon that just passed, but seeing as I never made it out there, I guess I'll never know. I've actually been eyeing a 9.4 of Bats 222 over at CL, but gave up after my high bid of $610 was overtaken. Although I really want a decent copy to fill my collection, this is the one Bat book I just can't see myself going crazy for, despite the popularity.
  12. I haven't seen too many of these graded. Was happy to get this for about $50+ shipped.
  13. Never got into Charletons as a kid, although I did buy a few issues of E-Man. Looking back, they had some pretty good titles. Just couldn't compete with the big TWO that's all.
  14. I was bidding on that one myself, but knew I wouldn't hold the high bid for long. It's a very nice copy.
  15. Unfortunately, I think the only way to make any money off of this is to gradually break it up and sell each page individually. A shame to part out the set, but no one is going to foot that much cash for Irv Novick. Especially since the story and interior artwork is relatively insignificant compared to the cover. Kind of like I can't seeing anyone lusting for Don Heck's interior artwork to Wonder Woman 199 or 200 for example compared to the Jones covers.
  16. You're the one who won that auction over at HA? If so, congrats. If I recall, the final hammer price was actually less than what a 9.8 copy was selling for around that time. Quite a bargain all things considering. I wonder where the original artwork for the cover is?
  17. Should be easy enough to compare with the scans from Heritage. The scan was coveniently taken down as soon as I made my order and before I even got the book. I've emailed them about this 2 weeks ago and this was all they would say about it. It's not so much the money, it's just that this was a pedigree'd book and it can never be replaced. I'm just surprised they never bothered to even casually look it over the before they sent it to me. So much for "verifying that it's the same item" that that was on the site.
  18. Between slabbed and raw, I have about 75 books total.
  19. FYI, I think the book may have been switched out. This copy is certainly no 9.2 in my opinion.
  20. Fresh from Heritage Smashed Detective Comics #443 Rocky Mountain Pedigree RM And yes, I've sent them some pics of this.
