  1. Thanks jstam. I found it yesterday and it is posted to my registry. I appreciate you. Best.
  2. Hello all! As per the title above, I submitted a copy of the book and I'm trying to put it in the CGC registry. I can't seem to find the set to put it in and I'm asking for your help to identify the proper set. I know it's there somewhere. Can't find it in the "Marvel's Facsimile set" group. Thank you in advance for any and all who will respond. Best. Joseph.
  3. Hello CGC! I just received a CGC graded copy of ASM #500 from a seller on eBay. I'm pleased with the book but so far, I cannot post it to my registry. The response I get is that it is on the registry already under a different owner and it will be transferred to me once the current owner (me!) is identified, or words to that effect. I'll post a scan. I'm wondering how long the process might take. I did contact the eBay seller but have not heard a word back so far. Thank you for any light you can shed on this minor issue (pun intended). Best to all.
  4. Hello all. I've been using the registry over the past year or so to show the few books I've had slabbed and I came across something today that I don't recall seeing before. On my Bio, there is a link to a "Comic Registry Signature Banner." I clicked on it and there is indeed a nice banner with my name, rank, sets, items, etc. It's a nice looking banner as well. My question is what is there to do with it? Can I include/post it on my Bio? Can I post it elsewhere? There is an HTML Code and a UBB Code and I'm not sure how to use them. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Joe.
  5. Thank you Mike. I appreciate the back up you've provided to the info already received. This adds another layer of assurance for me. OK, I'm in. Thank you CGC community and in particular Mike, I like pie (so do I) and Warlord.
  6. Hello and thank you for your contact. I've sent back a different book previously due to a hairline crack in the slab and I am aware of the process. This book (ASM #300) I received it on 10/30/2021 and my thought is too much time has passed, but I guess a call to customer service is worth a try so, I'll give it a try. Thanks again. Joseph.
  7. I had just started submitting my books to CGC in 2021 after joining and I did the submission myself. While many came back looking wonderful, I was sadly disappointed when my ASM #300 came back with a huge Newton Ring right over Spider-Man's face. At the time, I didn't know I had the option to call customer service and have it re-slabbed. While I'm happy to receive a 9.6 grade, the rings detract from the overall look and at this point, I wouldn't believe I could have it re-slabbed without paying for the service. So, it's mine and I guess that's just that. Grrrr...
  8. Thank you both for responding and your opinions. I wouldn't think it is the only double cover in existence, I'm just saying I see no way on the CGC site to research if there were any other graded double covers of this book in any grade. Perhaps I wasn't quite clear enough on my original post.
  9. Hello all. I have a very nice double cover issue of Thor #163. It has a 7.5 outer cover and a 9.0 inner cover. I am the original owner and I sent it in without a C&P. I'm happy with the grade and I know it might get a bump in grade if I cracked it and got it cleaned and pressed. I likely won't Here's my question; How can I find out if this is the only double cover of this issue? I've tried to look for other doubles but I've not found another. I'm not sure how to continue. Any information would be appreciated and I look forward to any comments. Thank you and Best to all.
  10. Interesting to see the replies. I suppose GAARD is less thrilled with custom labels but to each their own. Of course, the regular CGC labels look good but it's the option and distinction that I like about custom labels. The additional fee for them is negligible and I especially like them on my Silver age books. BTW, if anyone has ASM #50, please read my childhood letter to the editor. It's on the left page, bottom left. Stan called me Joey. I was 12 at the time.
  11. I do appreciate the custom labels. It gives the owner an opportunity to add another dimension to the slab. Now that CGC has created new labels and are retiring others, I wanted to say can't we have them all? Is there any true need to "retire" custom labels, as they do seem to be a hit with most collectors. I find them to be unique differentiators among the rather small group of grading companies. Since they are unique to CGC, I say keep them all. Give your customers the opportunity to continue to use them. Well. that's just my 2 cents worth.
  12. My thanks to "Workingdog" for posting a helpful reply to my question. I have since created my set and posted the comic to my Registry. Thank you again for all your help.
  13. I just received my Copy of this book back from CGC with a 9.8 grade (See photos) but I cannot post it to my registry. I can't seem to find the proper heading though the book does show in the CGC census. Can you please help me by showing me the path to post it, or should I request to create a new title to include this book? I've tried for a couple of days but I'd like some help from the community. Thank you. Joseph.
  14. Nice! most of the stores in NYC show little Silver age stock like this store here. Nice to see they still exist somewhere. I'll bet it smells like the Silver age in that store too! I noticed in photo #9, a poster of the Marvel Super Heroes 66 piece trading card set, reverse side puzzle (Upper right side, forward wall). I have that entire set of 66 cards and quite a few dupes as well. Nice to see it somewhere. Thanks for posting.
