  1. Bought Thor 337 CGC 9.4. Fantastic throught the whole process. Quick responses, great price and shipped to my door within 2 days. Will certainly buy from him again!
  2. No polishing. The secret is to use spray satin acrylic varnish. Everything will come out WAY to shiny. After the satin dries, put a coat of matte varnish down to take out the shine. Essentially the satin varnish creates a coating that fills in very small inconsistencies. But it looks terrible if you don't matte it down afterwards.
  3. So I cannot take credit for the actual design of the statue. There are artists who create these designs using what is basically CAD software. They create was is called an STL file which allows certain equipment to manufacture in 3d, such as CNC machines and 3d printers. My printer is an Ender 3 Pro. It uses what is call PLA filament to print off of. To anyone wanting to get involved in the hobby it is relatively cheap these days and pretty easy to learn. With the same setup that I currently have you are likely looking around $200-300 to get starred. The filament is cheap as well. About $25 per kilo and a kilo lasts a long time. This particular state probably has 1.5 = 2 kilos of filament used. Don't get me wrong though. There are machines and setups that can run thousands of dollars but those people are usually creating and selling as a business. These machines have more options, print faster and quieter etc.
  4. Hello, My love for comics has branched off to include other hobbies. Lately I have been 3d printing and painting statues for my home and my skills are just now at the point I feel comfortable sharing with people. Batman and villains statue approximately 20 inches tall. Took me about 5 weeks total to complete. Hope you like it. For anyone out there who is into 3d printing and painting, I'm always open yo critique and suggestions. Always trying to get better!
  5. Wait it's not cocaine. I thought all super villains were cocaine powered
  6. Found on Facebook. Not sure how anyone can look at this and think this is ok. Book massively off center, signature "authenticated", looks like label was printed in someone's garage.... it does appear that Europe has its own PGX
  7. That was my thinking as well. Im shooting for a 9.0 or higher, guess we will have to see.
  8. Recently picked up a Swamp Thing 1 (1972). It's in solid shape but certainly not perfect. I believe many of the flaws can be pressed out, as there are no color breaking ticks or major flaws. Interested in seeing what people think it's currently at and if it's worth pressing. Thank in advance for inputs. If I do submit it, I will reveal the grade I get. Thanks.
  9. Awesome sale. Look forward to future sales, especially any Hughes you have!
