  1. Thats pretty nuts. I'm glad I got my copy when I did before this madness hit. Now...to flip or not to flip Easy. Flip it now and buy it back after the movie tanks and prices drop back down to 2011 levels.
  2. The 5th season starts in February. I haven't changed my avatar since I signed up, so obviously I agree with the both of you
  3. Cool. Alex will be able to read by the time you send it, bruv, if your collection is as tossed-about as mine is
  4. Maybe he meant "Copper is Heating/Selling Well on eBay" as a sort of leading question in a declarative format
  5. Yeah, seriously. Congratulations. Next, you need to upgrade...
  6. The teasing is over! I just posted my top 3 acquisitions of 2012. Here's the one you've been waiting to see along with my commentary from my post in General. Enjoy! Nine, yes, NINE years of searching FINALLY turned up this "it doesn't exist" impossibility -- the Remco Warlord figure with a little something extra. This package contains the Warlord Remco mini-comic "Battle Beneath the Earth"!!!!!!! Another FANTASTIC Warlord item for my collection! Ian Levine brought this comic to my attention back around 2003 when he was finishing up his DC collection. He stated that info he had from Paul Levitz is that this comic was cancelled, never made, and is not officially supposed to exist. Certainly most of the Warlord figures did not have the comic and apparently the few that did were meant to have been destroyed since, as Ian relayed, Paul Levitz was so adamant that they had scrapped the comic. That didn't stop me from searching for either the loose comic or the ultimate prize, the carded figure that contains the mini-comic! I'd have been happy to have either item but I'm just a little extra elated that I found the mini-comic with the Warlord figure MOC! You can see the Woolworth's price sticker on the card, so apparently this figure with the mini-comic was sold at an ordinary retail outlet! One other note, I've compared this MOC item side by side with another MOC Warlord and I can't find a single difference between the two other than the presence of the mini-comic in this one. It's a puzzling mystery why an incredibly few copies of this Warlord figure made it out into the retail world containing the mini-comic! Without getting into specifics, where did you find it? And how?
  7. WHOAAAAAAA! I know!! How does he hang from the ceiling like that??? I'm more impressed with how the Goblin stays atop that flying lipstick tube he's riding than anything else, to be honest
  8. So I guess "Lucy Lane" is like, a relative of Lois's?
  9. poopy Marvel, what about DC's? 100s of lovely DCs. Same guy, or new guy? Oh, and congrats!
  10. Very nice, this is a book that I have wanted to upgrade for years. I would be very happy with this. Yeah. it's been tough to upgrade for some reason. This one is a CGC 9.0. I have two other copies, about 3.0s. Want 'em? Nah, I have got a couple of 5.0/6.0 nothing as nice as that 9.0 Don't tell anyone, but I think 9.0 might be a bit of a gift... Also, see that funny business on the back cover, upper right corner? That's from the CGC case. That'll press out
  11. didn't realize Marnin found these at a garage sale Mass pedigree, garage sale, tomato, tohmahto
  12. I myself like the tag line: "Enter: Luke Skywalker! Will he save the galaxy -- or destroy it?" It's about as appropriate to the film as asking "Will he save the galaxy -- or have a nice meal?"
  13. I personally would like very much to see a live version of the Beyonder, as long as they stay on-model from Secret Wars 2. Jheri-curl? Check. Mullet? Yes! White leather jacket, white shirt, white pirate pants tucked into white Uggs? AB-SO-FRIGGIN-LUTELY. Epic.
  14. His head isn't detached. Did someone say it is? The actual listing we are referring to says "detached head" and I have seen it a few other times labeled that way. Is that notation on the slab, or is that part of a description in a ComicLink listing? CL has been calling it a "decapitation cover" for years, for some reason That's what the CGC note says "Decapitation cover." Not "detached head," which is significantly more awesome. I concur. In fact, that might be the most awesomest of all descriptions for that issue, "Body-head dissonance" notwithstanding

  16. There's probably literally a thousand high grade copies of that book in the market and another couple thousand sitting in unopened cases
  17. That series could have stopped with the cover of 141 and it would have still been one of the greatest. That cover just tells the whole story and if you were reading the book back then when that came out, it just blew you the * away. There's a great faked movie poster out there for this movie, too
  18. soo beautiful. Are those from the Spine Split Collection? Just kidding; really sweet pair of books, Mike; shame about the tape pull on the MF, though
  19. I'm just glad they stopped calling it a "decapitation cover."
