  1. https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/superhero/captain-america-comics-33-mile-high-pedigree-timely-1943-cgc-fn-60-off-white-pages-when-was-the-last-time-you-saw-a-captain/a/805-5026.s?ic4=ListView-ShortDescription-071515 I'm pretty sure there is another one besides this one that was a high grade Cap cover issue.
  2. There was one besides that. I think it was a Cap cover but don't recall the title.
  3. I don't recall that Schwartz was ever involved in those titles.
  4. Heritage has sold at least one Church Timely hero book besides Red Raven. It was graded.
  5. A seldom used trick to make a striking fire image is to utilize pink in the coloring of the flames.
  6. I thought so when I was little. I still think so now.
  7. This is awesome work on your part. You done good! I'm not sure it is a good idea to wait on someone who is 20 years behind getting out a book on pedigrees. You, or someone, should reach out to her and follow up with any questions while that is still a possibility.
  8. Maybe you should have stopped after the second drink?
  9. I don't recall those well enough to have an opinion, so it will have to wait until the next time I dive into those comics. My collection is still recovering from the "marauders" last weekend.
  10. Mike, sadly, is no longer with us, and I don't know where he got his information. I trust GCD more because a lot art indexers did support it, and they record alternate opinions and reasoning behind the credits. We've come a very long way, but there are still a lot of credits to correct, and lot of credits to be discovered.
  11. M&J was hyuuuuuge, making Fisher a very wealthy man. He ultimately outsourced production of the strip while taking in the vast majority of the revenue which included licensing deals. I have read that Bob Kane's objective was to be in a similar position, which is why he was fine with outsourcing Batman art but tried to keep his name front and center in the published comics.
  12. We have run multi-round polls in the past and I think that people get tired of them before the last round happens. The advantage to that approach is that it would allow us to better judge the consensus position of all 20 covers. For example, I only get to choose 8 covers and can't indicate which of those I like better than the others. I am not giving any input on how much I like the other 12. My hope is that the 8 selection approach works. If it doesn't, we can try a different one.
  13. I think this is a good teenager cover, but I still consider a lesser effort from Cole. It's unnecessarily busy, the color design is rather drab, and the gal in the green suit has an unattractive face.
  14. I'm hoping people will be more careful with their votes in this final round. Clearly, only those who are sleep deprived, distracted, or consuming recreational pharmaceuticals would have failed to nominate such a great cover.
  15. I suspect that there are so many images that the "tablet" and Board software may be the problem. I had trouble uploading the files and, reviewing that just now, saw that several were missing. I have fixed it.
  16. All scans are the same size which is usually 400 x 575. They appear to me to be the same size as shown in the post.
  17. I'm not sure where I read it, but it made perfect sense as I have seen and liked a lot from both from Flip and Fox.
