  1. Are you just speculating here or you know this for a fact?
  2. Whenever you buy from Cadence, there's often a wait for the artist to ship the artwork to them, so I'm pretty sure they have it already.
  3. I ordered and received artwork about a month ago from them. I've ordered from them regularly and have had no issues, and I'm an international customer. Regarding their radio silence during cons: This I haven't experienced from Cadence but I have from other reps. Whatever's happened, I doubt it's due to their timeliness (or lack of) in shipping artwork, this seems way more serious.
  4. Buying 'experiences' isn't anything new. Travel became a fav pastime for the young ever since the advent of low cost air travel. We're talking 20+ years now. Individuals really need that 'collecting gene' to even remotely be into collectibles. No one in my other half's family have it and they're all considerably older than I am. What's even more depressing is that whenever I go to a western comic mart (a place where one can buy Marvel or DC back issues) the average ages looks to be about 60. The younger generation seems not to be interested. Comic reading, and by extension, Original Comic art collecting, is an aging hobby.
  5. Not trying to prove you wrong as there's definitely an element of truth to what you're saying. Yet. there's been a bunch of new characters in the previous Batman run (2020): Punchline, Ghost-Maker, Clownhunter, and Miracle Molly to name a few. 3 of these have had their own limited series so I would decline to label them as 'not important' Marvel definitely has had less yet they seem to be counteracting with a new character named 'Hallow's Eve' that they seem to be pushing. I take it you don't read modern comics?
  6. That ALF cover where Alf is doing questionable things to a seal....
  7. I've bought a Tradd Moore Ghost Rider Page at auction. Nice page, with a great example of Tradd's illusrative style, but no Ghost Rider (in person). I bought it for 10x what Felix sold it for. I intend to hold onto it I'm yet pretty confident I can still make a profit if I decide to sell.
  8. I've unfortunately now been priced out of Tradd's work but felt these pieces were very well priced regardless. I don't understand why some collectors are so salty. Art collectors collect art. Congrats to Tradd and to @Nexus for a record breaking sellout drop.
  9. I'd imagine the new owner will hold onto it for a while after paying that much for it (or at least....they should!)
  10. Very popular character coupled with a very popular artist.
  11. I actually just contacted the artist directly and they responded in a timely manner. Inky Knuckles has a great roster of artists. I really hope they don't shoot themselves in the foot with the way they handle inquires.
  12. Multiple artists, and I get the same treatment. Okay, looks like it's not just my experience! Not sure whether to be happy or sad about that!
  13. I've bought from Inky Knuckles before, and the transaction/delivery proceeded smoothly with no issues.... BUT, I've also inquired about art from his artists that isn't on his site and have straight up received no response, even after a nudge nudge email to say I'm waiting for a response. This has happened a few times now which leads me to believe that maybe no one is monitoring the inquiry emails or perhaps the lack of response *is* the response (to mean, sorry but no). Has anyone else had any luck with inquiries with Inky Knuckles?
  14. True, no offering is ever truly 100% 'fair'. Someone will always have an edge over others. But any service stating as such is at least my making an effort to reduce the scalpers. You'll have more of a chance than if they weren't.
  15. This is absolutely true, but doesn't mean the CLink site is good. More like, Heritage is bad yet CLink is...less bad?!? Through experience, I kinda know where to go to get what I need on the CLink site now. Though still not sure if it's the best method of doing it. When I first started on CLink I had no clue of where to go or what do to. The site is really not intuitive. Not great for any new user frankly.
  16. Whaaat! Why?! Bill from CAF also says they never provide any sales data or something. I guess they like being shrouded in mystery!
  17. The point is, if you need to explain a joke, then it's a pretty bad joke. Great that you got a laugh out of it, but yes - with no context, what is anyone supposed to think? Even after your explanation....I'm not sure I'm buying your 'it's just a prank bro' post.
  18. I anticipated a response like this. Dude, you've totally misunderstood me. I understand the importance of the ASM #300 cover but believe me, I am far from jealous about owning it. You couldn't be more wrong. And bitter? Wrong again. It's more sadness I feel. Sad that this hobby has come to this. While you think Dinesh my be 'one of the best guys in the hobby', unfortunately with a move like this I see him as greedy and opportunistic. I'm sad that new collectors could be coming to the hobby to be taken advantage of in this way. Of course he's well within his right to sell whatever piece he likes and make a profit. This piece should go for A LOT of money. 5 mil though? Come on, let's be serious here. *This* is the source of my displeasure. The Secret Wars page went for 3 mil which we all know was a gross over payment. The Dark Knight returns hammer price was probably well suited to it's legacy and importantance in the hobby. To price this piece at almost twice the secret Wars #8 page is an insulting joke that I don't feel 'the nicest person in the hobby' would even think of making. Finally, I totally understand If that's what it takes for him to let go of the piece. I'm pretty sure he's refused many offers. But why use Comic Art Live to make such a blatantly over exaggerated offer? I would like to recommend CAF to any new person in the hobby and hope they'll be in safe hands. Now, I really don't think that's the case.
  19. Continues on from the last Comic Art Live I thought it was a one off with the crazy pricing but obviously I was mistaken. I'm sure we all saw the absurdity of the 5 mil price tag on the ASM #300 cover. It's laughable, especially as we all know how much he bought it for. This changes the way I feel about him and all other 'collectors' trying to take advantage. Scambags, the lot of them. Edit: I was going to joke on how a lot of the Comic Art Live listings will end up in the attempted flip of the day thread, and sadly that actually seems to be the case.
  20. I followed the auction but didn't bid. Was interested in seeing how much these would go for and they all ended up a lot higher than I ever would have thought! Good luck in finding a page.
  21. Not sure about that. Bill Cox has displayed negative sentiments about this forum before Race made that post... The general feeling I get is that Bill doesn't really like it here. I'm sure he described it as 'toxic' once
