The 9.9 CGC copy of Incredible Hulk sold in a ComicLink auction for $150,000 back in 2011. Below is the link to the CGC press release reporting the sale, along with a picture. It was the first Bronze age book to break the $100K barrier. I'm sure it would sell for substantially more than 150K if offered up now.

Or, it was a 9.2 book sitting in a 9.0 holder originally.
Nice try!

I've been looking at a lot of Silver Age books recently. The old CGC label books consistently look better than let's say "half" of newer-label books. I suspect that pressing has to do with it. I want a book that's 100% natural. I don't want it to be as flat as possible. It just doesn't look right to me. I feel like pressing will make a book with a 'meh' wrap look a lot worse when flattened.
What SA books are you looking at?
There's not too many old (burgundy & blue) CGC label books around.

Why would you a buy a 9.8 Silver Age key for 5 figures, when you could get a 9.6 for $8k?
Why buy a 9.6 for $8k when you can get a 9.4 for < $4k?
The prices seemingly continue to cut in half for each grade below. Why the insanity? Especially when the line between grades 9.0 and above are so thin. What is wrong with you people!?
This is, of course, speaking to the graded-comic market and not the raw comic market. Is the raw market any more stable and reasonable?
Do you own any CGC comics?

Not if you are the one who paid over $30K for a copy of MSH 13.
I wonder how the buyer is feeling about that purchase now.
