Them's a nice retirement plan you got there, Chaos. Easily like $20,000 worth of stuff you got there.
ALL my CGC comics are not pressed.
So...there is untapped potential!

Oh okay, I guess that’s referring to my admission that I have slabbed copies of Carol Danvers books? So what? It’s why we’re all here, right? Yeah, I admit my investment in the character has increased my excitement for the movie post-success, but no way does it affect whether I think it’s a good movie or not. In previous posts, I laid out with specific reasons why I think Captain Marvel is an awesome movie. If I thought the movie sucked, believe me I’d be in a corner moping. But I love the movie and it’s a success. It makes me proud of my collection and I don’t mind admitting that. I’ve also got slabs of Black Panther and other MCU character key issues, but I love Captain Marvel as much as I love Ang Lee’s Hulk. Just because I’m chatting up this forum about that doesn’t mean I or anyone else deserves a punch in the face. We’re all here because we’re investors in comic book culture and isn’t the forum so we can chat about that?
So true.

Let's be honest though, if Fury didn't page her in Infinity War, I would doubt that this hits the $1 billion mark on it's individual merit.
It's not a particularly great standalone film - let alone tie-in.
Can't change history.

As expected Us handily takes it down in its third week (zero competition for its first two weeks certainly was a huge benefit for this "okay" movie).
Next week Dumbo takes the kids and families as well as a big chunk of theaters.
Shazam likely with the coup de grăce the following week, by taking all.of the repeat viewer hero fans, and another huge chunk of theaters.
Does this get to $400MM domestic? No.
Does it have a path to a billion?
Probably....

$400M Domestic>YES with a 2.61 multiple ($153 OW X 2.61 = $400M)
$1 Billion Worldwide >YES

That's one area DC just works MCU over, scores. Granted GOTG 1 and 2 were great, but they were just really collections of cool songs. Id consider that more of a traditional sound track than an actual composition score.
Man of Steel and The Batman Trilogy just absolutely murder it on this front. Even BVS was good. Marvel hasn't really been able to get that part down as of yet.
From the biggest Super Hero Movie to date.
Alan Silvestri - Porch (From "Avengers: Infinity War")
Alan Silvestri - Even for You (From "Avengers: Infinity War)
Alan Silvestri - I Feel You (From "Avengers: Infinity War)
You're welcome!
