  1. Thanks for the great Spidey slabs! Smooth and easy! Recommended!
  2. Sweet new book in today! PPSSM #90 with an awesome Black Cat cover and Spidey all over the place. 9.8 WP (of course) and signed by Al Milgrom! 1st black costume in this title too.
  3. I hope Spawn is still selling. I've got a run from 1-113 and other Spawn titles (Curse Of, Sam & Twitch, etc...) I'm looking to move!
  4. Ok, we've got a new one! While not one of my favorite covers it is kinda cool. Spidey riding the back of Hobgoblin is pretty awesome! Also - and more importantly - this is the last Hobgoblin cover I needed in 9.8 below his "death" in #289. He did make a noted appearance in a few other issues (working on them) but this was the last "original" cover I needed in this title. I've got a #312 so from there I've go up to after his "resurrection" and get the newer ones. So here we go, ASM #286:
  5. Just going over the covers... this one: How jealous is she? I mean, she's hiding in the bushes like groundskeeper Willie! She's a 1/2 step away from being Carl from Caddyshack! And these 2 are in the grass and draped in tree cover. Are the making out or playing hide and go seek? I mean, can't they just go dancing and have martinis like everyone else?
  6. I thought maybe we'd get 2 more, vote for best 3 of 10 and then another to finish it all off - but it's not my poll. Also - Thanks again for doing this @adamstrange! Now, let's continue to criticize everything that's wrong.
  7. Ok.. 1 other opinion.... this one: Is a fantastic cover. You get 4 babes for the price of 1! But is it really a romance cover? It's more of a teen/humor book. The issue after it had a friggin' gorilla on it! Eventually it goes full romance, but whereas this is a great cover I couldn't vote for it as I don't consider it a real romance cover.
  8. I love this one and it got my vote. The perspective, the MOON, the MANDALS! I love the TTLR run, but how some of them got in over this one I dunno.
  9. I wanna say Cap... but Batman did have a gun for a bit too...
  10. Power 2 @ $610 not bad for a 2.5. Spook 26 @ $562 sounds about right. Holiday 5 @ $455 is pretty darn good for an ungraded 4.0! I was happy to see that! 4Most v8#5 - $810!!! Holy shnikies! I did NOT see that coming! Ungraded, pretty well creased up TRC, and an often overlooked adventure title. The only think I can think of is that there's only 1 on the census in 4.0. It's a great cover, but that's one heck of a result! I didn't have my 4Most issues pegged to be in my next submission, but I may have to rethink that...
  11. That's fair. I just think because the Hobgoblin story was going on since #238 and ran through #289 that his 1st app may be a well-known # to go off of, and #252 was in the middle of that. #229 was 6/82, and #252 was 5/84 if it sways opinions.
  12. Then I have 2 more thanks to @wasonff! First up, 1st Spot! Next up, an UPGRADE! I still (for the moment) have my brown label 9.4 but now I have a proper copy for my 9.8 run - Spidey / Wolvie #1:
  13. OK.... so I had mentioned that I was going to post another book (took me a minute to get it released to put into my registry set) but I wasn't 100% sure where to post it and if the above ASM #222 was in the right forum. I also posted #222 in the bronze forum and it seemed to get an ok. In the end (argue with me if you like, I'm open to ideas!) I decided that the line between ASM bronze and copper was #229. That issue starts the Roger Stern era, who did the Black Cat story a few issues prior to that, but then goes on a run for a few years. Also the Spidey logo in the upper right changes. It's not a big thing, but it helped me make a decision. In any case, here's another pickup, #235:
