Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been around for awhile. Some of you are already aware that that's at-least partially because I lost my job in August. I could make this a sob story, but thankfully this isn't about me. Recently, someone close to me lost someone closer to her than we are with one another. He was a fan of Green Hornet. Admittedly, I know very little about this title other than it has origins in radio, canon in comics, and what I remember to be a god-awful movie adaptation. I want to acquire a piece of memorabilia (comic book) that I can gift to her and her son as a memento of our collective celebration of this wonderfully charitable man's life. This man was a war veteran who was always on his toes about fighting tyranny, foreign and domestic. Did any of the original radio-inspired comics feature a cover with Green Hornet and armed forces? Or perhaps a tease of investigating corruption (my understanding is that he's a detective)? I may not log back in for awhile, but I will be reading this thread for any suggestions. Whatever I end up getting, it will be gifted in bag&board, as I will be looking to leave a kind note for them.

I haven't logged in since I lost my job in August. I felt compelled to login to tell you all how disgusted I am at "Superman" wearing Guardians of the Galaxy garb. Let me guess, "I don't offend obese people by flaunting my genetically anomalous figure". Soyman has arrived.- 388 replies

I want to see Galactus done right, but having him as the MCU FF's first villain would be a galactic mistake.

Easy to predict that they'd save money in the short-term. Right now, people are generally avoiding theaters. You're getting ticket-sized sales via streaming each month. The average person does not go to 12 movies/year. Easy slide. -

New Gods #7? First appearance of Steppenwolf? -
It's the only one I bought, and I kind of figured that it would be the only one I'd ever want.

Due to investigating this issue I have learned the difference between the UK and Great Britain. (Yes, UK is missing from my drop-down list, too.) [Yes, I knew that the UK and Britain are different, I just never cared enough to learn how before.] @CGC Mike

It's crazy how incompetent WB's executives have been for about a decade, now. It's not that difficult to simply shut up prior to locking your plan in. How WW3 could be divorced from the DCEU is beyond comprehension; Audiences won't be able to do it.- 181 replies

Haven't been seeing much praise from fans for this season, it might just be another skip for me.

The MCU's ability to ditch new characters or story threads without much consequence really shows how divested they are in their own properties, and the audience has followed suit.- 289 replies

I can't see Matt Smith as Mr. Fantastic, but there could be something there.

WB's BARBIE THE MOVIE starring Margot Robbie (2023)
theCapraAegagrus replied to Bosco685's topic in The Movie Forum
Luckily I've only seen a handful of people bemoan the content for age, because for some reason they didn't heed the PG-13 rating. Seems like most people are taking this dutiful approach.
