Was that the last DC Title to have a #1 on the cover until the 60's?

Yeah I had that one wrong (I didn't bid on it...so it was difficult to find the listing again...) -

It looks like they had all of these books posted at a fixed price on the site then when they didn't sell conducted an auction. Generally I don't find books I like on Hipcomic (a lot of garbage and overpriced books...but this one auction had some pretty solid books in it.) -

I actually bid on 210 but didn't win. I believe this site is legit but have never successfully won an auction on here before. Its pretty impossible to navigate but I saw an ad on CGC for this auction and was surprised by the quality of books. Not sure even if you are a dealer why you wouldn't go to one of the big three with these books...but I see dumb stuff like this all the time. That is why it pays to check other sites out... -

I bid on a CGC 2.5 #210 last weekend on a HipComic auction and it only went for $799. Seems low compared to slightly better books that sold in January for significantly more. But not low enough that I was going to bite on it. A 5.0 214 went for close to $4K which is significantly below a similar copy from Feb 2023 but still on par or above prices from 3 or 4 years ago. A lot of books in this auction underperformed so some of it may have been the venue. But probably some price deflation here as well. -

Hi Everyone- have a couple of books that I am listing today including a classic Matt Baker Flamethrower to the Face CVR. Here are the rules: Paypal only No international Shipping is $15 dollars No returns No HOS First , wins Up first is Flash Comics #95 CGC 3.5 #3929632004. A great black cvr that is hard to find in good shape. I felt they were a little harsh with the grading of this one but I am sure a resubmit with a press and clean would result in a much better grade.... $closed

Would it make more sense at that price point (126K) to just hack apart the book and grade the pages indvidually? If you have two pages that are going to sell for over $100K combined plus a min of 2-3K each for the remaining pages (more for Zatara/Supes pages) .... I mean I would never do that as it just seems fundamentally wrong but from fiscal perspective it makes a lot more sense.

I loved his work on Legion and Justice League. While he could always take things a little too far and some of his work was not to my liking (Trencher-anything in that style), overall he created some great books that could be both grim and humerous at a time when comics were taking themselves way too seriously. Whenever I see a James Gunn or Taika Waititi production, the humor (and absurd violence) reminds me of Keith's late 80's/early 90's comics. I own several of his pages from the 5 Yr Later Run of Legion that I treasure including one on my wall. RIP Keith!

This is a great run to complete. I pulled it together in the late 80's/early 90's and sold my last DP a couple of years ago (#99). At the time I was probably too young to appreciate the Morrison books (though I loved Animal Man). One of these days I will go through and read the whole run, as I too love the show (which feels like a greatest hits of the comics).

These look like the starter copies of these two books that I bought long long ago (from a bookstore no less). I never upgraded unfortunately as my interest shifted (Selling my low grade early Marvel collection to complete runs of 60's Atom and Hawkman doesn't look like such a good idea 30 years later!).
