  1. Thanks. Go away and never come back!
  2. Criminal prosecution is a deterrent to employees going rogue. Given this guy has admitted to a CGC investigator some of his shenanigans, I would hope CGC will get local law enforcement involved in the future.
  3. Agreed. From Bry's 1st video when he opened the book up, that was not a "small" amount of color touch!
  4. Thanks for the tip regarding the tape. I looked up the notes for both the before and after grades and see that tape was noted the 2nd time around but not noted on the label. Here are the notes for both: Regraded book #4266895001: Original book's notes (#0342396001):
  5. That was an expensive lesson paying CGC all those fees and get no color touch removal and it comes back the same grade. Then the page quality dropped from OW-W to OW on the re-grade. Ouch! I assume he removed the tape himself since the interior tape note is not there anymore.
  6. I'm curious what the situation is like going the other way shipping from Canada to the US or another country. Is it similarly expense for international buyers to purchase from Canadian sellers?
  7. It's too bad that his desire to collect cost him his marriage. It's also too bad he didn't want to include his children in his hobby as many dads do through sports, comics, etc. .... He might have created a next generation of comic book collectors to keep his legacy going.
  8. If Alonso is out, than good. As head of VFX, she definitely failed (see She-Hulk). Also, if I remember correctly, she also didn't like the name "X-Men". If she's out, then there's less chance the X-Men will be re-named something ridiculous like "The Mutants".
  9. I remember I have this book. It was a good read. Dr. Fate was awesome in Black Adam.
  10. I saw it and the movie was fine. Nothing special, but definitely not bad. Black Adam is going to be a player in the DCEU and it was a good introduction to a character I frankly did not know too much about. The only comic book I read with him in it was DC Comics Presents 49 so my knowledge was pretty limited. I was stoked when the post-credit scene came on. After all the WB turmoil, they finally got something right!
  11. Latest sale from Sunday for the CR-OW CGC 2.0 from Heritage was $33,600. This matches the March 7th sale of an OW-W CGC 2.0 from March 7th.
  12. $39.5K for a 1.5 . There's a CGC 2.0 (CR-OW pages) ending tomorrow from Heritage that's at $23K right now. I wonder how this sale will influence the final price on the 2.0 . The most recent Heritage sales for a 2.0 were $33,600 in March and $38,400 in January.
  13. Let's add books that move in the case from Shaken Comic Syndrome "SCS" from CGC to their customers where the book doesn't look right when the slab presents normally, i.e. not 90% upright
  14. I finally got to the theatre today and watched this film and I have to say I really enjoyed it it. The only weak spot was the final act which seemed kind of out of character to the preceding portions of the film. I absolutely loved that we finally had Batman as the Dark Knight Detective. The movie was predominantly him and Jim Gordon trying to figure out the Riddler. They retconned Catwoman's backstory, but more importantly her interaction with Batman was still great. Pattinson was absolutely fine as Bruce Wayne going into year 2 of "Project Batman". This was better than any run of the mill Marvel film.
  15. Your 9.6 is a beauty! I understand your pain. I've subbed books I've thought were 9.8 or better and been disappointed when getting a lower grade. Sure you can resubmit them, but there's always the risk of damage in transit and handling and getting a lower grade. I've seen many YouTube videos of people who tried the crack, press and resub game and end up with the same or worse grade more times than not. For your reference, between a 9.6 and 9.8, my 2 originally bought at the LCS when they came out copies are shown on page 49 of this thread. One is a 9.6 and the other is a 9.8. The only difference per the grader's notes was color breaking light stress lines on the back cover 0f the 9.6. They were on the back cover spine. My 9.8 had no grader's notes.
  16. This book plus GSX #1 have had meteoric rises in 2021 without any movie or TV hype around the X-Men. If you don't need to sell now, it's probably best to wait until Marvel announces an X-Men movie.
  17. I shipped from outside the US, so it took a bit longer. I did write EX on the front and back. C'est la vie.
  18. My 1st Express tier submission: Mailed out: 4/16/21 Delivered per package tracking to CGC's PO Box: 5/3/21 Delivered to facility: 5/11/21 (I just checked each day with my tracking # to see when it finally got delivered onsite) Received: 6/22/21 Is it normal for this much time between delivery and entering into the system for an Express sub? Hopefully things speed up now after it's been received.
  19. There's 120 other blue label Spider-Man #1 platinums out there plus 57 SS copies. Over 1 in 6 copies of this book (10,000 print run?) have been slabbed. Curious if this is the most slabbed book %-wise?
  20. The green ink on the lettering indicates it's a 1st print. I looked on Go Collect and there is no upc code on the front of any of the 14 printings of this book that they show. Double-checking: is the upc sticker on the book or on the plastic bag the book is in? If it's on the book, it might have been put there by the retailer. Just a guess on my part.
  21. I'm not happy how they treated my favorite game character Liu Kang. He looked weak and passive versus the 1995 movie version of him where he was the noble hero. The reveal at the end who Cole will end up as doesn't make me care one iota more about him. His character unfortunately sucked up all the oxygen of the film.
  22. I've seen the Snyder cut and was thoroughly satisfied. The theatrical version was just a hack job when you see what Snyder wanted. You can easily see the scenes Whedon added on that Snyder excluded from what he wanted. Pretty much each character's purpose and motivation was fleshed out over the 4 hour cut versus what we got in the theatre. The exceptions were Batman and the Flash where we didn't get much over what we saw in the theatrical release. There's a lot more heart to the film, especially with regards to Superman and Cyborg. I guess that may be why Ray Fisher hates Joss Whedon. The 4th world stuff was lacking in the theatrical release, but much more fleshed out to a more satisfactory level in the Snyder cut. You give us Steppenwolf as the big bad in the theatrical release and not his motivation? Answered here. Epilogue is lengthy and a must see. I think there were many additional shots done for this, however they did expand on one of the actual extra scenes presented in the theatrical release (yacht scene) which I liked. I would love to see more of this character since he was also prominent elsewhere in the epilogue. Also pleasantly surprised to see references to 2 heroes not mentioned in the theatrical cut.
