  1. Hi All Been looking at some pre-code horror and after that intense rocket of price, it FEELS like its cooling a bit.. Is that just wishful thinking? Seeing some beauties for sale at relatively reasonaly prices!
  2. Well honestly its not a spectacular collection or anything - A lot of the money is from a few nice carded STAR WARS figures I have - THe climate where I live (High Desert) isnt conducive to keeping them properly displayed (Dry and with large temperature shifts) so instead of waiting for the bubbles to pop off the card backs, selling them seems to be the smarter move - Plus i have a lot of toys I had teh "will display one day" plan with for like years now so that can all go........
  3. Hi All Long story short - been collecting comics for a few years, and toys for 2+ decades. Recently my mom passed away. My dad had already passed so it was my duty to clean out her house. She was a wonderful mom but the house was like a hoarder situation - Just drawers and cabinets all full of "stuff" - and now after going through that I seem to find myself in a state of repulsion over "stuff" and Im feeling really suffocated by these toys. (That's what I like about my smallish comic collection - fits in one short box) Anyways - I like to keep my "collection" funds separate from my other stuff - I already have different accts for savings, retirement all that stuff - The "hobby" stays in "hobby" - So I know if I just sell a bunch of stuff (maybe 10K worth) and hold onto the money in an acct Ill just spend it on other things slowly over time. So I figured it would be cool to just put the money into a comic, since i already collect comics, and it's a huge space saver. So - Where would you put 10k? I ALWAYS wanted a XMEN 1 or Spiderman 1 but with today's prices you can BARELY get into those for 10K. Also I guess it could be like Hulk 181, ASM 129 - a few "big books" I have always wanted - I just dont know! This isnt a "comics arent an investment" thing - just trying ot kind of refocus too much stuff into much less.....
  4. HI All! Less than a month away from release and I want to thank everyone who ordered. As of now, the first printing is sold out at the publisher level but the distributor (who is fulfilling Amazon preorders) still has copies! Very appreciative of the support!!!!!! Tyler
  5. Thank you for preordering!!! Sadly the book got delayed due to a literal natural disaster. Since then Scout comics dissolved Black Caravan and my book got moved to SCOOT, so I’m not sure if the previews orders are still valid or not, as I don’t believe SCOOT distributed through them.
  6. Thank you so much! It WAS in previews but not sure if that old link is still valid - A LCS should be able to get it from Simon & Schuster though: https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/Rest-in-Peace-Halloween-Special/Tyler-Ham/9781639691791
  7. Hi All Im very excited - After a natural disaster killed the release last year (sigh) my book REST IN PEACE will be releasing in September! It would mean the world to me - if you like kids books, monsters, or Halloween - if you would consider pre-ordering a copy, or recommending it to a parent who might! Or, if you have a local library, Comic Shop, or bookstore, ask them to pick it up - It is distributed by Simon and Schuster. It's so hard to launch a new kids series, especially when you are a first time author with no marketing background, so I sincerely appreciate any bit of support I can get! Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1639691790?tag=simonsayscom Thank you!!! Tyler
  8. Hi All Wanted to share my only pulp - I picked this up because this is the first time the short story "Who Goes There?" was published - and if you didnt know, that story was adapted into the sci-fi classic THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD, and the 1982 John Carpenter classic THE THING! I love that story and those films, so wanted to have its "first appearance" too
  9. You are correct - Originally SCOOT was the interested party, but Black Caravan loved it and asked to put it under their banner! (Scout has been awesome to work with)
