  1. Yea, sorry I probably posted a bit prematurely. Will have the pics tomorrow.
  2. Sorry as I currently only have this one picture and it's in the bag. I will post more shortly but I've never dealt with grades related to foxing. There is similar foxing on the back and there are no other noticeable defects on the back side. Interior pages do not have foxing and all are in near perfect shape. This looks like a 9.2 to 9.4 book without the foxing. I know without the other pictures it's tough but my thinking is the grade will be... Let me know what you think
  3. Grade is in.... 4.5's have it! I submitted it for pressing with screening and it was not pressed.
  4. Thanks @revat, I've thought about what I wanted and was on the fence so I asked about the remark. Yes, I see now I've put this in the wrong sub. I also pretty much dropped doing the ASM78 as well. It's all a learning experience and I'm just trying to get opinions from those that have done this before. Thanks again!
  5. So I'm going to go ahead and have the remark and signature. Hopefully JRJR will choose a good pen color. But, I still have the nagging question.... No responses from anyone, did no one have an opinion on this?
  6. I'm going to send my ASM 238 in to get signed and graded but having thoughts about If I should get a remark by JRJR. Seems like there's not enough room for a good drawing on that cover. Has anyone done this and how did it turn out? I also have ASM #78 that seems like a better candidate for a remark. Appreciate any thoughts and comments!
  7. Thanks all! I was hoping for a 7.5 so I guess I'm right about there.
  8. Just got this really nice copy to fill in a gap in my early ASM's. Let me know what you think!
  9. Yes, the fading is glare off the cover as it's still has a good bit of shine.
  10. Will be sending this in shortly. I think I originally picked this up for $20 at my LCS in the late 80's. Hopefully a press will serve this one well.
  11. Going through my Dad's collection has reminded me what books I had. Pulled down boxes I hadn't opened for many years and am enjoying it just as much if not more than when I started collecting. This one has a few blemished but looks pretty solid.
  12. I bought this from my local LCS back in the 1980s. Not sure yet if I'll get it pressed but looking at the spine wear... that might hold it back from making too much difference.
  13. So, this book just sold on eBay recently. The notes say "Very small amount of color touch on spine of cover" and I was wondering why it was not assigned a restored label? I am also wondering if the price it sold for accounted for the color touch in some other way? I've read a bit about it on these boards and my gut tells me that it didn't meet the threshold of restoration but did affect the price in some perhaps small degree. What do you guys think? eBay Link
