  1. So I got in another piece of original artwork by actor Peter Cushing yesterday. This is an early (circa 1950s) collection of watercolour sketches Cushing did of people from different historical time periods. As these sketches are small, instead of a full signature, Cushing monogrammed them PCW - his middle name was Wilton. As a history teacher, these are a real treasure for me and a highlight in my Peter Cushing collection.
  2. Hi everyone, I know this is a long shot but does anyone recognize and know if this Angel Medina preliminary Red Skull artwork was ever redrawn and published in a comic?
  3. Just got in today the second and third volume of the collected Heap stories from the original Airboy comics. I already had volume one so glad to have the rest to read.
  4. They had started filming before the strike and then changed the showrunners and direction after the strike so I'm assuming that some of the footage originally filmed was kept to save time. As they just wrapped now I would expect the series to drop early next year as you said.
  5. https://www.cbr.com/daredevil-born-again-wraps-filming/ The new Daredevil series just wrapped. I was hoping to get a background spot in the production but perhaps next season. Did get to work on the upcoming Penguin series which was very cool.
  6. Hi everyone, Picked up this Avengers 4 CGC .5 over the weekend. It is the best presentation of a .5 that I have seen and I couldn't pass it up for the price. I was wondering what this book might be graded as a green label qualified grade? Grader notes are as follows: Grader Notes missing interior part/page/wrap (QUALIFIED) page(s) 12 does not affect story punch hole left top of back cover tape centerfold moderate creasing to cover moderate staining to cover small tape pull bottom of front cover
  7. Added this key Capt America over the weekend. The best CGC .5 I have ever seen and just couldn't pass it up for the price. Used to have a low grade raw copy many years ago so it's nice to have a copy back in the collection.

  12. Yes, I have heard that before and definitely not offended - I was a big fan of My Name is Earl!
  13. I saw a few of Cushing's painted soldiers go for sale at the auction of Joyce Broughton's belongings after she passed. The majority of Cushing's soldiers (as well as his theatre sets) were given to friends in his will when passed. Some have been sold off again and I think Del Toro owns some of his theatre sets.
  14. I own two original Peter Cushing watercolour paintings in my collection at the moment. The more important ("key" painting lol!) is a signed and dated painting Cushing did for a 1958 art gallery showing he did around the time he was filming The Hound of the Baskervilles for Hammer Films. The other watercolour painting is from the 1960s and unsigned but was a gift Cushing gave to his secretary and dear friend Joyce Broughton.
  15. Gorgeous figures and in my humble opinion the best likeness I've seen on Cushing and Lee figures. I'll actually be getting these soon but at the moment have been saving up for some original artwork by Peter Cushing.
