  1. Worst thing about this flop is that takes away from the brilliance of the first. I didn't agree with many that the first movie should have been left alone. I didn't agree that the musical route was necessarily a bad idea. Now excuse me while I finish my Crow pie.
  2. I couldn’t wait for this sequel….. now i may skip it altogether. I loved the first one so much and i just don’t want it ruined for me. Apocalypse Now used to be one of my favorite movies until I saw Redux in the theater and it was forever ruined for me. don’t want a repeat of that. Thankfully, I have the brilliant Penguin series to keep me occupied.
  3. That was exactly Reeves's intent. From an NYT review a week ago: "Though the character appeared in only a few scenes, Reeves said, “There was something electric about Colin. He just completely embodied a spirit that was so fresh and so powerful. You wanted to look at him under a microscope and understand, who is that guy?” "“When you look at a lot of Batman movies,” Reeves said, “after they do the origin film, then it’s like, oh yeah, then here’s the Joker movie or here’s the Two-Face movie. It’s almost as if those characters take center stage and then Batman begins to function in their story. What I wanted to do with these Batman movies was to keep Batman’s arc and his psychology and his evolution at the center.” https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/13/arts/television/the-penguin-batman-hbo.html#:~:text=“The Penguin” is an unapologetic,in decades' worth of Batman
  4. Loved it. So well done. Colin Farrell is a brilliant actor and the definitive Penguin. Sofia Falcone is brilliantly psychotic, More Reevesverse please. .
  5. Oh yes. Script foremost no doubt. And I believe Gunn has been very clear that he shares our sentiment. That said, the viewership has to be there. I hate to admit it may be a hard sell for many after all the mishandling of the DC mythology all these years. I have serious hope though.
  6. I read John Hamm is back in the running. I'll take anyone who will draw in more viewers. More viewership = more CB productions.
  7. Josh Brolin turned it down. This means one thing. There is still hope for Robert Downey Jr. Rumor has it he can play anyone.
  8. I remember the reviews being mixed for Joker. Critics either totally loved it or totally hated it. Good sign a movie isn't formulaic and took some risks.
  9. I was hoping for someone younger. in 10 years Brolin will be 67 years old.
  10. I always imagined that the Bride's and Bill's baby survived the Massacre at Two Pines and that would keep the whole story alive.
  11. i agree. Great profile pic! Superman 276 is one of my favs!
  12. So, a master storyteller like Gunn, with the weight of rebooting an entire universe on his shoulders (and arguably the fate of CBMs and the big screen in general)…… hired a bad costume designer? Like, it hasn’t dawned on anyone that the costume may have something to do with the plot? Wow.
  13. Officially one year away from July 11, 2025 release date. ……. I CAN’T WAIT!!!!!!
  14. I can't understand how a fan of Superman can't be excited by how good they look. All of the photos looked quite promising. The suit looks great too.
  15. I get it. But you must admit the nitpicking is beyond comprehensible. So much riding on this movie, not just for DC but for CBMs in general (which arguably are keeping the entire medium afloat to some extent).
  16. Thank you for posting this. The visual equivalent of "Shut the #%@ up!!!!"
  17. Saw it last night with my buddy and we both brought our sons who are in their early teens. Both my fellow Gen X buddy and I loved it……. Our sons thought is was just “good” and “long”. The dads spent the trip home talking about the vehicles, how great Anya was, the surprises, George Miller, our experience seeing the Road Warrior at our sons’ age, how badass the characters looked, and on and on. Our sons joked around and spent the entire time talking about everything but the movie.
  18. WOW! This looks absolutely epic. Super excited to see the blind guitarist again. YES! That symphonic version of "Man Who Sold the World" is PERFECT.
