  1. It was so awesome to get the voice cast on this super rare book!!!!
  2. It was pressed, but it was pressed after Heroescon, but before the Bendis private signing.
  3. Awesome Wolverine sketch from Leinil Francis Yu from Heroescon.
  4. Is there anyone else out there that is still waiting on their Alex Ross book(s)? My submission has been sitting is Grading/Quality Control for a few weeks now. I'm just curious if anyone else is still waiting.
  5. If you submit for a reholder, the book is not removed from the sealed plastic sleeve inside the holder so you can't press the book. If you submit from CCS pressing, you have to submit the book in the case and CGC will remove the book to maintain the chain of custody to maintain the yellow label. However, the book will also have to be regraded and you risk a downgrade on the book. I can tell you from personal experience that even with CCS pressing, downgrades have become more common.
  6. I think your best bet is either contacting their agents (for example Comic Sketch Art handles a lot of the major comic artists). Other agents are Essential Sequential or Scott's Collectables. The next best step in my experience is simply reaching out via social media. Your success will obviously depend on how active the artist is on social media, but I've been able to set up commissions that way. If there are artists that you are particularly interested in, you should follow them on social media regardless, often times, before major comic cons, they will post that their commissions list are open and you can try to get on their commission lists. Hope this helps.
  7. Welcome to the hobby! Some things to know about Liefeld signings, it is very unlikely that he will do remarks IF he does a CGC private signing event. Also, he has a staggered pricing structure depending on the book that you are getting signed. In particular New Mutants 98 and New Mutants 87 are generally the two books that he charges the most for signing. Last signing that I saw, he was charging $100 for those two particular books. Even if he does not do a private CGC signing, you should keep your eyes out for appearances at different comic cons. Even if you can't go or even if CGC is not there, there are facilitators that can get the signatures for you and submit them to CGC for SS Gold labels.
  8. So I got this done at New York Comic Con. She was doing remarks for $20.
  9. Peach's line was the longest in Artist Alley every day of New York Comic Con, I waited over three hours on line to get an amazing remarque sketch from her which I was more than happy to do, because I just love her artwork. She is so sweet and humble that I don't think she was prepared for just how popular she was and how long her line would be. The article correctly notes that on Sunday there were exhibitors and "influencers" who lined up before Artist Alley opened to the public and began to push and shove each other to claim the first spots on the line. This was obviously and understandably stressful for Peach and her husband. I also think that there was a lack of fan etiquette throughout the weekend as well. When Peach wasn't signing and just painting at her booth there were crowds of people shoving cameras in her face while she was trying to work. I don't know if this specifically bothered her, but it seemed very aggressive. Also during the signings, there was a lot of people video recording their interactions with her for their Instagram reels. Again, not sure if this specifically bothered her, but she is not a native English speaker and her husband translates for her a lot of the time so I can't help but feel like it was in poor taste to record a conversation with someone who does not necessary speak the language as well without first asking if it was okay. I cannot emphasize enough how kind and patient both Peach and her husband were throughout the weekend with fans. She tried to have real interactions with her fans and was more than willing to pose for pictures with anyone who asked even though it dramatically slowed down the line at her booth. She wasn't charging for her signature and was offering the remarques at a price so low, she was basically doing them for free.
  10. For the Todd McFarlane private signing at New York Comic Con, the tickets say that it will be held at the CGC Booth (Booth 3000). Does this mean that there will be CGC witnesses available for submission of the signed books for Signature Series?
  11. If you submitted with pressing its going to take a really long time, even with the fast track for the private signing. If the other books were submitted without pressing or submitted not as part of a private signing, that might explain the differences in the time frame. Many of us are in the same boat.
  12. Your question was not unreasonable. Depending on the number of submissions, some of the signings have had to carry over into second or third days. The tweet only showed a few of the remarque sketches that he did and it wasn't clear if the signing was done. I'm in the same boat as you, I submitted a handful of books for that signing. The turn around times have been getting longer and longer so all you can do is keep your fingers crossed while you wait. Did you also submit for pressing, if so the wait will be even longer. Just out of curiosity what did you submit for the signing?
  13. Also Comic Sketch Art will be on site, but I believe you may be able to submit via mail.
