  1. You really liked DHoKF! Nice art! let me know when you populate it with more art.
  2. What are you saying I got wrong? I think people here are wrong to attack a person that is doing auction analysis for free which is a great tool for knowledgable buyers. That is what is wrong in this world. Everyone has opinions but if you don't like an auction report then continue hounding the person doing them, eventually they'll keep them to themselves.
  3. Mike will get punished as he deserves. What about others who have had scams like his? Selling others books and not sendig comics out. I still vividly recall Craig Oscarson from The Brain Trust and how other group members tried to get him to pay for his crimes unsuccesfully. I only lost 2 books in that scam unlike others that found themselves out of a lot of money and books.
  4. I appreciate @Michael Browning market anaylsis after auctions happen so why would we doubt his market analysis? The OA market is a harsh market and information is essential for informed buyers to make assertive choices when purchasing items. Michael's reports are thoughtful and more than others deserve if they don't do there own market research. I always follow auctions and dealer pricing myself but really don't have the time or energy to share them with others so his work is very commendable.
  5. Let's wait for a SSB page to come to auction and well really see if the market is holding and those $30k private sales are true.
  6. that is the truly interesting question. Who cared enough to bid on it on a Wednesday? A real collector that missed the drop or other people invested in keeping his market as is?
  7. it's easy to assume to but in reality the market is down and many are not willing to send money on collectibles. Especially modern ones that have 20+ years to become vintage.
  8. mostly for those invested in the artist current pricing to be kept.
  9. the books that the detective has received will not be coming back to owners for a long time if they are to be used as evidence during the trial.
  10. he still doesn recreations but they are definitely a lot more than $500
  11. I'd put my faith more in a private sale price than and auction price as we have to remember anyone can bid on an auction so it might get a bid that technically cannot be called a "shill bid" but a bid to bump it up to at least it's original price might be made by interested parties.
  12. Hello I have these two comics up for auction on Comiclink and they are ending this coming Monday and Tuesday: STAR WARS: HEIR TO THE EMPIRE #1, NEWSSTAND EDITION, CGC 8.5 VF+ ends Tuesday 8/6/2024 featuring the 1st appearance of Grand Admiral Thrawn & Mara Jade. STAR WARS #68, NEWSSTAND EDITION, CGC 9.2 NM- end Monday 8/5/2024 Both of these books are highly coveted as they are newsstand editions so any bids will be highly appreciated!
  13. @Dr. Balls yes, definitely worth the premium! @Matches_Malone if I were to pay $20k for a commission (which sincerely I'd never pay but have paid more than that for a published piece of his) I would not be looking to get a "raw energy" vibe to it. I'd like to have the ultimately perfect piece which imho is achieved by Jim Lee when being inked by Scott Williams. I can attest to it as I got an unpublished Jim Lee pencilled cover and I paid Scott to ink it and the piece now shines brighter than anything else I could imagine. I had Scott ink directly over Jim Lee pencils and I have no regrets about that, I did keep a scan of the pencils just to show how lackuster they were.
