  1. It's not a limited edition. It's a gimmick. It's the entire print run. They did that with their entire line. It was the 90s.
  2. Well, at least you got economies in 5 weeks. That's'a nice. I've still got a Value lot from 12/28 still in "received."
  3. I hope it passed...? That's always the worst: "I've got a full invoice....plus one! GAK!"
  4. You sent in a 1 book invoice...? You cray cray! Did you manage to convince them to ship with another package?
  5. I suspect someone's bonnet is tied too tight. Cutting off circulation again.
  6. You're absolutely correct. Unpressed 9.8s are exceptionally rare "in the wild." You'd have to find collections where the buyer cherry picked the nicest copies, then bagged and boarded them immediately, and then nothing happened in the intervening years. A thumb dent, a slight impact dent, a small bend...all disqualifiers. Pressing made 9.8s common, because most of those flaws could be fixed. My first submission probably would have been my last, if not for pressing, at least as far as moderns go.
  7. I know plenty of people who base their opinions on what they choose to see, rather than what actually is. "There is none so blind as he who will not see." If these so-called "friends" only exist "in the matrix", then "I can't believe I actually was friends with that guy, lesson learned" doesn't have much impact, does it...? Lying to exact revenge is not a character building exercise.
  8. That person has it wrong, as usual. It's "It's always a compliment when you meet someone and they say, wow you're not nearly as much of a jerk as some people make you out to be." To which I say "why did you judge someone based on someone else's opinion of them?" And those who write off "friends"...tell me...were they ever really "friends" to begin with...? It's easy to get the whole world to love you...just tell people what they want to hear. Truth? Who needs it? The Truth is for suckers and fools.
  9. I love these. The sketchbooks were the hottest new books of the summer of 1999. The regular sketch was a $40 book, and the armor variant was $60...in the summer of 1999! The gold sketchbook...well, that's a special one. These were Jay Co. exclusives. The story goes that they made 1,000 of them, but 200 were damaged, so there were only 800 available. The sad thing...? They're totally worthless. And the fools say "you don't want to pay the CGC punishment tax because it just affects your bottom line." Ah well...I love 'em.
  10. It's the closest thing to action some of us get..... Possibly because most of us are into chicks, rather than dudes? ...Wha....?? The COMICS...not the dudes....
  11. Only my 4th and 5th 9.9s ever. Thousands of 9.8s. 5 9.9s. Sigh.
  12. Ok... It's time. My Jay Anacleto SS haul from the last 2 years...
