  1. Some photos have surfaced of the books, apparently at the booths of other dealers at the Boston show. So far, I've seen no reports of any of the books showing up in online marketplaces.
  2. Those are gorgeous. I always google names I find written on vintage comics, especially unusual ones. The guy appears to be 73 and still living in NYC. I wonder if he'd appreciate seeing these again.
  3. Someone in another thread here claims that the Lee Tennant Enterprises signed books were overwhelmingly forgeries:
  4. Folks who buy collections to break up and resell: What does your process look like? How, and at what point, do you cherry-pick, grade, identify pressing candidates, alphabetize, order by number, create bundles, scan/photograph, generate listings, etc? How do you optimize space utilization, time and cost efficiency, and cash flow/inventory turn? There's an extreme shortage of this type of information online (most of what's published on the topic being extremely general, and not intended for professional resellers), and I think many of us continue to needlessly reinvent the wheel. I'm sure this topic has been touched on here in the past, but I couldn't find anything that was really focused on workflow and efficiency. The more granular you're willing to get, the better. Photos and diagrams appreciated as well. Thanks in advance!
  5. Thanks for the advice - You've likely saved me both money and aggravation.
  6. I have a number of high-grade raw copper keys to submit for grading. In many cases, the unread book was placed directly into a polypropylene bag with a board (probably both Ultra Pro) circa 1990, taped shut, and stored under fairly good conditions ever since. With books like this, where there seems to be a possibility of getting a 9.8 or better, should I attempt to remove the book from the original materials and replace with 2mil (or thicker) mylar + fullback? Or should I leave them as-is, perhaps with the added protection of an exterior golden bag/board? I'm just concerned about the risk of knocking down the grades slightly in the process of handling the book (especially if the tape used to seal the original bag comes into contact with the book). I'm leaning toward avoiding the risk and just inserting each such book into an extra golden bag with a fullback (seeing as a few extra months of contact with polypropylene won't make much difference), but I'm curious what folks think.
