  1. It’s a good mix of both. One was graded around December 2022. Three of the others are all file copies in the earlier slabs from around 2010 era. I will call today and see if they can assist. I had never had that happen and just checking to see if anyone else was experiencing it. Thank you both for you feedback.
  2. I’m getting my books ready for the registry. Out of about 12 books I looked up so far around 4 couldn’t be found. Anyone else experiencing trouble ? Thanks
  3. G.I. Battle 5 , the injured nurse cover, is one of my favorites and a tough book to find in good condition. Beautiful set my friend !
  4. You would’t happen to have a Strange Tales 73 tucked away in that beautiful run would you ? If you do let me know. Good luck with the sales !
  5. I bust them out all of the time. Everything goes straight into gerber 2mil Mylar with gerber full backing boards. I recently busted out FF52 8.0 , FF18 8.0, Marvel Spotlight 5 8.0. I’m busting out an Amazing Fantasy 15 1.8 this weekend. I take photos of them in the slab for my records and then out they come !
  6. Thank you my friend for the kind words. There’s just something soulful about buying something that made us happy when we were young. I was over the moon when I landed this one. The box edges have some rubs but overall it’s a solid box. Now it’s time to hunt down a nice Mazinga in the box !
  7. I thought I would update everyone on the outcome. I called CGC and they told me to send a clear scanned copy of the original document. They told me to keep the original with me. I sent the book with the scanned copy and I also put the pedigree in online when I was submitting the book. Easy enough !
  8. I’m sorry , there has been some good ones so far but this one takes the win !
  9. It’s was a clean book but it has silver fish damage on the front and back cover in the bottom corner. I know this is not an easy one but I’m interested in hearing some good opinions on it. Thanks to everyone in advance !
  10. It says very small tear top of staple light dust shadow full left of back cover.
  11. That would have been a good trade for sure. I give you full credit for making that offer before it was graded. Good eye !
  12. Sorry for the late update. I forgot to post the grade after it came back.
  13. It’s not very clear at all. You can see the book and some alignments but it’s not good enough to where you can pick up on small details. You can tell the signature on the cert is live ink but I only wonder if that’s enough for actual pedigree proof. I imagine that if it’s real they would have seen multiple copies of the same certifications in the past and they can use that to determine if it’s real. I plan on sending it in next week and I will absolutely update everyone on the outcome.
  14. Your thinking like me. I would think you would need more supporting evidence. The actual book is photographed on the cert but i don’t know if that will stand good either ? Photo proof is usually the most definitive but it might not be enough. We’re talking about a company that won’t certify a signature unless it’s actually witnessed, which is a good thing. I will definitely follow this up with an update so we will all know in the future.
  15. Excellent, I would love to keep the cert for sure if possible.
  16. I was really hoping that they would return the cert but if the cert will stand good and they will actually give me a pedigree label on it , I won’t complain about that at all.
  17. If anyone has ever submitted a pedigree book, I have a couple of questions. I bought a Batman Collection and this book had a Massachusetts pedigree LOA with it. Will CGC recognize this as a legitimate form of pedigree proof ? The 2nd question is, when I send it in will they return the LOA with it ? Thanks
  18. A different case but possible similar scenario. I have a 1986 fleer Jordan Rookie that I pulled out of the pack myself. I sent that card to Beckett and they sent it back ungraded. They claimed the card had been “trimmed”. I knew that was completely wrong. I pulled that card out of the pack myself in 1986. I then opened a PSA account sent the card into PSA and it came back graded a PSA7. If I wouldn’t have pulled that card out of a pack myself or if I would have bought that from an individual, I would have accepted Beckett’s evaluation and lost tons of money but I knew for a FACT that card was not trimmed. I would suggest doing that on this comic. Send it in to another grading company. If two different companies find color touch then you can at least sleep at night with those results.
  19. I agree with this 100 percent. This book looks like it would have graded somewhere in the 6.0 to 6.5 range if the staples were in tact. The thing that gets me is the notation indicates that the staples were removed , not just missing. To me this should indicate the book is not complete and probably should have received a qualified label no matter what the grade. CGC has historically put a deep emphasis on staples and their importance. This book getting a universal grade with the staples “removed” is a head scratcher for me.
  20. I love the Munsters ! I bought that entire statue line that Tweeterhead came out with a few years ago.
