  1. So what does this all mean for collectors? Blind allegiance and loyalty to the company? Angry posts and videos that amount to words only and no action? Jumping ship to the only real choice in 3rdPG? The reality is, nothing will come of this. Nothing at all. Collectors will complain and moan, all the while still sending CGC books for grading and CGC smiles at you and gives you the finger. Another scandal arises and it's rinse and repeat from collectors ad nauseam. This thread will do nothing toward sparking any tangible change because it will do nothing to negatively impact revenues which is the only thing corporations respond to.
  2. What are the chances CGC changes their label/inner well construction vs. their reholder process? It might be easier to just change the construction. Probably higher upfront costs but no impact to TATs etc.
  3. CGC has to come up with a way to keep the inner well and label attached to one another. If CGC heat seal/sonic weld the label and inner well together then this scam never happens. CBCS used to sonic weld their label to their inner well. With CBCS's cases being the best on the market for protection, clarity and security they don't need to do that anymore but CGC should absolutely adopt that solution.
  4. Not a good look for CGC. An evaluation company putting an evaluation and their name on a non-existent article. This is an example of CGC not taking what they do seriously or they believe their brand is more important than the industry they're in; impartial third party grading.
  5. Thanks. Poor form from who? The person posting or the rediculous forum rule?
  6. Yes, it did happen at all tiers and make no mistake that it will happen again and at a higher rate of frequency.
  7. There should definitely be concern for the hobby as a whole. Blackstone is an investment company invested in a variety of companies for virtually one purpose and one purpose only...profit. They will likely institute efficiencies which will likely be cuts to various departments. They will also likely increase grading costs and lower or remove any discounts. The original CGC vision was seen through a collectors/hobbyists lense....the new vision for CGC is now seen through investor/bankers lense......the original vision always maintained a degree of love of comics/collectibles the new vision maintaines a love of profit/money.
  8. I am trying to get the grades to my submission that just shipped but I'm getting this error message... Details not found. If you've entered a valid submission number, details will be available when the submission is at the "Scheduled for Grading" status. Any idea when this will be resolved?
