That bottom corner is rough...the spine hurts but supposedly they take less of a hit on spine splitting/wear on square bounds...I'm saying 4.0. Oh how I'd love to clean that back cover.

9.0 ish... bottom of back cover...is that just dirt or a finger bend? If a bend then 8.5. I like the side angle pic...more pics of books on an angle like that, under light to help pic up dents/dings that otherwise flatten out/disappear in top down photos is helpful.

Yep, thanks, that's about where I was too. Shame about that back. I think it'd look decent in a slab and protect the flap from becoming detached.

Biggest issue is that flap at the back..it’s thisclose to tearing off. I’m not going to handle it anymore after these photos. The paper is very tender/thin in that area. Interior page quality is pretty nice. Thanks for any feedback.

I didn’t realize they’d put no blank covers for future signings; that sucks. I just went on what I saw in the past, which were relatively small but nice. Thing is Art Adams just puts more care into his work than many. And as to value on the secondary market, you won’t be seeing me putting mine up for sale.

I took a look at the 2-3 examples of head sketches that I was able to find online, that he had done at the last signing..there was a very nice Logan (though no where near as elaborate as the ones being done this time around) and went with that, figuring if I got something at all like that I'd be happy for $120. I also went by the two samples shown in the CGC announcement which looked pretty detailed to me (those were drawn on an X-Men print and are actually fairly decent sized as the print is pretty large); so with that limited info in mind, I sent in eight books; Five sketch covers and three published covers with enough room for a decent sized remarque. I'm amazed at the pieces that have shown up so far; I can only cross my fingers I get something in that range on mine. However long it takes, I'm fine with.

Thanks! Hey I’ll take an 8.5 I just got in grades for five books and I undergraded either 1 point or 1/2 point on four with one spot on. I also said cream/ow pages on two and they came back ow/w and ow.

The back cover is what brings it down; front presents nicely with great color. I’m going to say 1.5/1.8.

Main issues are the staining; not sure how much that will knock it down. Has a fairly rolled spine, though that can be mostly corrected. Was thinking 3.5. Thanks for any comments.

He did have a Go Fund Me (not sure if it’s still up) trying to raise $120 or $160k for a stake in the company. AFAIK it has raised $20.

The (not) funny thing is that baby chicken response was from an auto-reply email! That message was the proverbial straw that broke… etc, which prompted me to start this thread.

Wow will check out the video. I’m sure there are still many people with books out. I think you just need to keep messaging him. I thankfully received my books back, as well as a few other people in this thread. Not their money back, though, if work to be done wasn’t started. I wish you the best.

Yes, I received my books back last week (I posted a comment about it with pics of some of the books) and my friend received his FF 5 back (but not his 2k).
