  1. Not a fan of Omnibus or contemporary (computer reconstructed) reprints. But definitely a big fan of Silver Age Super-Man If someone has time to take a few good quality scans or photos of the inner pages, as to provide a good idea of the colors/line work quality, I would deeply appreciate.
  2. Great result, easily broke the previous CC record and runner-up:
  3. Nice! I never saw this one before. Really surprised to see this idea in a golden age cover. Poor lady. Well, rather her than me!
  4. Very nice. I didn't know it existed (expected, as I am not a toy expecialist). It's face isn't as nice as one could wish, but is indeed an amazing item to own About the price, I would expect more, given the rarity. A very rare Batmobile sold for six figures a few months ago. I know this is not a model and yes a toy, but still....
  5. No, I wasn't. The main problem was with their payment method, something called bill.com (that no one told me was going to be used when I consigned). It continued requesting me a document number that only companies have (even though there was an option to choose if you are a person or a company) After one month of several email exchanges and complaints, someone from CC did himself my registration and on bill.com. After that I was informed that two of my books were not sold and if I would like to keep waiting for the payment or to do something else with them. It was also said the payment would go through a review process. I then asked which books were not sold. That was a week ago. There was no answer about which books were not sold. In the meanwhile I contacted the consignments guy and he answered my question. A few minutes ago I sent another email asking about the current status of the payment's review process.
  6. Still going on strong . Not mine though https://www.comicconnect.com/item/1032950
  7. It was my hamster, Yuri, who did it. I am sorry for that, I will disciplinate him soon.
  8. Hopefully they will also speed up their payments. I sold several books in their December auction and still didn't receive.
  9. It's interesting how some ideas can repeat themselves after long time periods. Not only they can re-surge after decades, but also in far away locations, dozens of thousand of kilometers apart. Take for instance this Brazilian The Phantom n°15 that I acquired more or less recently. As can be clearly seen, the basic idea is to show a big Phantom on the background, watching over a lonely ship traveling through ocean waters (continues in the comments): By the late 80's, the Australian The Phantom magazine had recently changed their design style and started to produce covers with greater variety of themes and visual styles. A few years after such change, the Australian artist "" had a practically the same idea as Lutz had thirty five years before. Once again, one could see a big Phantom in the background, albeit just from neck and above this time, watching (more explicitly now) the lonely ship crossing the danger waters of the ocean I would say the bigger difference by far is the darker color scheme adopted in the Australian publication. P.S: I just did a selling thread comprised mostly by foreign comics, in case anyone is interested:
  10. A Russian comic on a local comic shop? Might will never happen. Very nice cover for a first issue Two expensive books! I think one of his covers was used here. I will check latter.
