  1. Went to the Great Ohio Toy Show last weekend (small town called Xenia outside of Dayton on the west side of the state). If you ever get the opportunity, I highly recommend you go. It was amazing. I actually grew tired of looking at toys for the day! That's a 1st. Pretty much something for everybody. High end, entry level, 60s toys, 80s toys, moderns, Funkos, and on and on. I'll take some pics of things I bought later and post. Other than Kane, what other shows are large and have nice quality? Patrick
  2. Hola freaks Picked up a couple 70s items. Definitely keeping the Jaws. It looks great and the art is wonderful. Shazbot. Stickers never applied. Patrick
  3. Is C1 correct? I thought 161 previewed #5. I'm probably mis-remembering. Patrick
  4. For a modern, SW 4 is a tougher book to find. I only found 1 copy over the years, but plenty of the others. I loved that mini run of SW. Including the Aliens crossover and final issues. Patrick
  5. Any toys at the show? I'm only a couple hours north of Evansville. Patrick
  6. For clarification, Commandron is the group name for the red/white/blues. They each had a name. For example, the jet was called Solardyn. Patrick
  7. I've been gone. The red/white/blue (America) vehicles are from Tomy and called Commandron. I believe they were released thru McDonalds in the mid-80s. The tall black robot is a Converter from a company called Select. It was called Sunyak, but I believe there is a second name he was released under too. He's a Maladroid which I believe is similar to a Decepticon. Oddly enough, I almost bought one locally about 1 month ago. I need to research the bubble bot more. Pic of another angle may be helpful. Patrick
  8. Who is the Kenny Powers figure on the post? Brother Voodoo? Congrats on completing. Patrick
  9. Man, this is exactly how I justify it. If it's on TV, it's true. Patrick
  10. He only wanted $30 for the lot, so I felt obliged to purchase. It's hard to find any true value on the items. People are asking $200, but there are no sold prices I could find (and those include the ultra cool Hordak bat accessory). In all honesty, I craved the crossbow. It's just so reminiscent of the action figures. Everything was from his childhood. Being a little younger than me was helpful for my collection. Super impressed with how quickly he learned. I spent a lot of time helping to identify some oddity items and he ended up selling a ton of stuff. Patrick
  11. Thank you, much appreciated. I wish I had purchased the Dagobah set. Oddly, it's one of the few SW sets I haven't purchased. I plan to post more shortly. Have a 3rd Joe mini set poised for a Pic-N-Post (TM pending). Patrick
  12. I'm always curious how people see trending of sales in their local area. I tend to focus on 80s, but any info is welcome. He-man/MOTU - Sales are still pretty strong. I see them selling better in a lot format versus individually, unless in near mint condition. More so than other toy lines, people seem to be really focused on the rarer figures (movie characters/Ninjor/Mosquitor/Sorceress/Randor/Clamp Champ/Scareglow/etc). It's just clear that a billion were Mfg'd for the earlier years. It does feel like the steam is cooling off a bit after all the craziness of the last few years (including the new TV shows and modern toy releases). GI Joe - I don't know why, but there has been a crazy resurgence lately. It's odd, because it felt like a lull not too long ago. My only guess is the interest in the Classified line is drawing re-interest in vintage. I hardly list a Joe item and it's gone (including items in poor condition). The previously vilified "neon" area of Joes (90-94) are much in demand. A local seller told me recently that the interest in 82-86 has massively dropped off as most have acquired that they need in that period. I'm not seeing that, but maybe others are. Transformers - I'm really curious what others are seeing here. Simply put, there are virtually none available to buy or sell locally. That appears to be the case at local shows too. When I do see them, they are largely over-priced as a result. I have a feeling they are still strong sellers when available and appropriately priced. I do see people buying newer Transformers at a higher clip which is partially due to the lack of older TF availability. The oddity toy lines are selling very well. It's not a coincidence that they line up with the later 80s. I've met so many people just turning 40 and they have the same passion we had from the earlier 80s. The difference? Toy lines from the earlier 80s were longer lived and more abundant. I've heard more interest for Inhumanoids than ever before. Dino Riders continue to sell briskly. Food Fighters, Battle Beasts, Army Ants, and on and on. What doesn't seem to sell well? I need to think on this more. One example is Marvel Secret Wars from the 80s. And it really doesn't make sense to me. I see HUGE interest in modern Marvel/DC toys. Guessing it's the sucky articulation and the shield thing is super weird. Even the vehicles/sets are non-Marvel-esque. Just surprising to me as there aren't a ton of non-Mego Marvel toy options up to that point (and frankly into the 90s). Patrick
  13. Bought a good load from the same guy I got the boxed Optimus Power Master from. On a side bar, a whole lot coming in lately. Happy to see some stuff. This lot is pretty awesome and weird. It's a lot of He-man/MOTU kid's costume pieces from the 1980s. The Hordak is just insane. His weapon is a monster sized version of the weapon's that were released with the OG horde figures. Even down to the clasp that lets the crossbow pop into action. Sword and belt/kilt are from Skeletor. Patrick
  14. Man, those Mario/DK stickers are awesome. The SW cards did go up during the pandemic and Disney was dropping new TV series. Basically went from very little worth to a bit of something. I haven't kept up, but i wouldn't be surprised if they came back down to earth. Patrick
  15. Any more NES? Original Gameboy or Sega Game Gear? Patrick
  16. Cobra Surveillance Port. Like the Cobra Bunker, I've waited quite some time for one. I'd love to see a diorama with a bunch of them. I typically see them with broken pegs and accessories. Like other mini sets, a ton of playability and display potential. Some of the weapons seem to be set too high. Patrick
  17. Definitely post it here. This is all-things toys. We have a nice grouping of people here to mix up info on old and new. Facebook has SO much on toys. You'll feel like you've fallen into limbo and can never get out. Old toys, new toys, specific toy lines, buying/selling, etc. It is endless. Patrick
  18. Any ID number on the side/bottom of the box? Selling any of the 4 or any 80s items? Patrick
  19. So amazing. Godzilla taking out Marvel and DCs finest. Hell, even a human leg in the process. Patrick
