  1. Not yet, unless you mean the one that opens up Ice Crown Citadel
  2. Well here are my Captain Marvels. Hope you enjoy. Note, I don't think I own that last Whiz Comics....I need to check my box again :sigh:
  3. I give up, my registry sets can't compete with those Whiz Comics, sigh.
  4. You're alive! Yepper, I am most definitely alive. Contrary to rumors of my premature demise, I am alive and kicking.
  5. I am sure he does. I am sure he does.
  6. Hmmm...perhaps I should play Warcraft less and maybe visit the boards more often.....
  7. I used to bubble, then put some cardboard pieces on the ends/corners to help out this stabilizing the slab. The pack around with newpaper, nice and tight to help prevent slipping. Still there is also a chance your carrier goes totally postal and decides your package, is meant for soccer practice.
  8. Kudos to VTcomics for his purchase of a Wonder Comics 17. Great communication, quick payment. All that you could ask for in a customer!!
  9. Kudos to supapimp. Quick payment, good communications and an overall good customer!!!
  10. I am not really in the habit of buying pedigrees or collections unless I really like the quality of the books. But for some reason, I keep ending up with pedigrees. Guess I have been really lucky with winning auctions. I can't wait until I get my hands on a similiar quality WC #155(or #2/1 for that matter )
  11. TIMMY!!! Where you been? Can't say hi anymore? I'm collecting Whiz now. What aren't you collecting now? You're going to have to change your name to r1970add. Man, more competition for Whiz!!! But I am not surprised to me, it is one of the most undervalued series out there. Glad to see others appreciate it more. As a note, I picked up that Whiz #154 for a really decent price and since there are no CGC 8.0's or 8.5's(I do believe) it seems to me that I made out. Also, the CMA #50 was listed as a williamsport collection books but I didn't get any certificate and it is not notated on the holder. Anyone have any info on Williamport Collection Books?
  12. Two new additions to my collection this week: Whiz Comics 154 CGC 7.5 Off-White Pages Captain Marvel Adventures 50 CGC 8.5 Off-White Pages
  13. I had to really search to figure out what you were talking about. Where have you been? Same place, I have always been.
  14. holy cr@p (getting more jealous by the moment) oooh lala Why must you torment me so, Mr. Bedrock? WHY!!!!!?
  15. I don't have you on an ignore list, soon as I get in my latest purchase I will post a pic of my Whiz and CMA collection. You look like you have really got yours rolling Ivanko. Looking forward to seeing more. Also Detective27kid, I am rankling with envy right now.
  16. Thanks for the complements. It struck me as a very nice book except the bindery tear at the staple. I especially like the white pages.
  17. You know, I think this is the only comic I have bought in the last 6 monthes: Whiz Comics #35 CGC 8.5 White Pages Pennsylvania Front Back
  18. I have those pages but the quality of the scans is just plain awful (esp. for Master 22)... I had those stories in the Shazam! archives I believe but I sold my set to Timulty a loooong while ago. Sorry. Sorry for a late response, And I loaned out those archives to someone for them to read. Heck forgot all about it actually.
  19. I would still want it even taking that into account. Damn fine book there!!!
  20. Naked man returns!!! Yay!! I can only say this so many times BZ. I truly, truly envy your collection.
  21. Yes, I have even seen the splitting problem. The way I see it with BZ's storage method(and why it seems to work) is that books are stack horizontally and the weight from the books helps to compress air out and possibly impeded page degradation(hence the reason that Church's books held up). This usually leaves the problems with the top most books and spine edges having damage. But since the books are in baggies, it probably helps with that as well. Though, I would expect the top most and bottom most books to not be the same quality as the books in the middle of the stack. Still, a bottom or top stack book in one of BZ's stack still out classes what a great many collectors have in their GA collections.
  22. Yeah, that might be a good idea. I know, I have cut into a comic with mylar(good thing it was a Bronze Age book!). I am sure there are other forms of damage, if not properly inserted. Again, I am a believer that if it ain't broke don't fix it.
  23. Da,ba,uh, mmm.. I am speachless. Incredible, well almost speachless. Paul The previous books shown were incredible but this.................. Those are amazing....and what more amazing is you still have them in those cheesy glad wrap bags Yeah -- can we take up a collection to get this guy some Mylar? Actually ... I'll trade you enough mylar for all those books for the MMC #8. Actually, I offered to give him 50 mylars and archives for just that purpose. Otherwise, they are just going to sit in a pile on my shelves. Still, if they have been keeping well preserved to this point, why do anything different. Remember if it ain't broke don't fix it.
