One staple on Fawcett books are not uncommon. Far as reprints, I don't think there are any Alan Lights around but it is worth checking. You might be better off finding a low-grade reader of this one though.

Very cool that you have the Church copy, Timulty. With the book in hand, is it obvious why people sell their souls to own one (in terms of freshness, gloss, color strike etc), or does it look like your basic very-high-grade copy?

It comes close, after you drink too many shots of tequila. I have 2 copies because the raw one is The Church Copy and #131 is one of The Crowley Copies.

Shoot me now for this off-topic question - i'm curious to see where my fellow BA horror nuts think that the swamp-like creature in phantom stranger 14 fits in to the swamp thing mythos? any thoughts?

 

Didn't that come out two or three months after HOS 92? Then again, so did HOM 195 and Overstreet breaks that one out. I guess you could consider all three issues Swamp Thing prototypes.

Actually, HOS 92 counts as first appearance of Swamp Thing(Particulary since they added it to the canon later in the series). Anything prior would be a proto-type.

Soon as I get my GA Captain Marvels together, I will get a picture up. Not really all that many but I try to buy VF or Better. I would have better luck with my BA DC Horror.

I like the concept of picking the same theme for commissions. It would tie together a room quite nicely. I think, I am going to use "Superman gets Biotch Slapped" as a theme.
