Wow, nice!!!

Long as you don't own any Hoppy The Marvel Bunny, you are cool with me, October!!
-
Early Whiz? Flessel DC's? Man, when you get those group shots together, it will make your collection already more "Impossible" than it already is!!!

Who didn't want to be a Magician, when they were a kid? This is probably DC's earliest Magician character(Dr. Occult was more of a super hero). He was killed during Crisis. At that point he had been in back up features almost continually for nigh 50 years. Think of him as the Unsung Hero of the DC Universe!!! Oh, yeah he's Zatanna's Daddy. Glad they are bringing him back(of a sort).

Maybe I'll bring my Action 1 to the forum dinner this time as well (although I have nagging security concerns at the convention itself which may stop me from doing that, as I like to flip through long boxes without worrying about where my bag is). If I do, rest assured that if you're there, you can flip through it. I bet you haven't read the cool Zatara story before.
Insert crying graemlin here.....that's the only reason I would read the early Action comics. For the Zatara stories. ARRRRGGGHH!!

I almost didn't put the Fawcetts (wildly unappreciated, in my mind) in the photo,
in favor of my King Comics #1 and Comics Magazine #1,
but then I thought of you and kept them.
The colors on the CMA #1 are amazing.I bought that book from The Dentist himself.
VERY tough to find in any kind of grade,
and most of the copies I've seen are restored with badly-matched color touch.
While I don't mind restored books, this one isn't.
The Dentist always has the best toys. I wondered if the CMA #1 was unrestored. I didn't see any cover tearing from the photo. That's is very common on that book. Congrats again on your collection. I am sorry that I won't get to see some of it when you are in Chicago.
-
I am so glad that I am not going to Chicago. The urge to mug you for your GA Captain Marvel books is strong, Centaurman!!! Great collection. The colors on the CMA #1 are amazing.

Dude, one kudos is enough. Besides, it's good to hear Greggy get some kudos instead of getting ripped on. Plus he has some serious books!!!
-
He's a Lt.Marvel.

Kudos to all of you SS collectors out there who made this forum possible. Also, I think Arch should Sticky this thread!!
-
Yeah, that cover is up there on my favorite Plastic Man covers!!! Great Pick up Scrooge. And I am still looking by the way.
-
Let's just say, it isn't worth it getting into a bidding war with him on comic books.
-
I like the picture, I have to ask did they get Alex to do that or did they just photoshopped that in somehow.
-
Kudos to Johnenock for Some Great Spectre Adventures!!!
-
Kudos to HighVoltage for some DC Bronze Age Horror Goodness!!!

Kudos to Comicseeker for a Great Shazam #4.

Kudos to comicdey for Giant Sized Man-Thing!!! Now, I can proudly display my Giant Sized Man-Thing. Everywhere I go women stop me on the street and say "Wow, is that a Giant Sized Man-Thing? Can I touch it?" So, I whip it out and let them!! The ladies love Giant Sized Man-Thing!!!!

You have him do a commission it's like 40 US shipped. Best money spent and Mike could use it right now. He is also selling some of his strips. My favorite is Kid Thor vs Lil Surfer.
-
Right back at you Zonker.
-
You are welcome. What until I get some more books in the next couple of months!!!
-
Only if I find the OA and I sell it at a decent price.
-
Pretty sharp copy, looks undergraded.
Thanks for the complement but the bottom left corner on the back looks a little soft so, I think the grade is pretty much right on. Still probably the best book I have right now. I have 2 more Captain Marvel Adventures (#27 and #37) that is on timed payments and a Whiz Comics #67(which is on its way) that will really help make this a more impressive collection. Now if I could just get the 7K together for Esquire's copy of Whiz Comics #2(1).

Wow, now that is a neat cover.
