  1. Nearly 8 weeks since posting this, and I’m still waiting for them.. the status of grading / quality control hasn’t changed..
  2. Submitted a batch of books back in April, all fast track modern, with a couple that need pressing. Got all the books back, with exception of the ones requiring pressing. Which is great. The remaining books have now been pressed, and the the status has been changed to ; Encapsulation, then Grading / Quality control.. That change in status was 3 weeks ago? Normally when this happens it’s done in a few days / week max, and dispatched… but it’s been like this now for 3 weeks?? I know CGC are busy, but that can’t be right?
  3. Just worked out that the order I submitted last month would have been $420 extra if I submitted it after the 28th April.. wow.
  4. Think yourself lucky, I had a human hair inside one of the slabs, from books I submitted directly. At least I can use DNA to track who slabbed that book! 😀 I’ve also had slabs back that to me look grubby / water marks on the inside of the slab... probably the same person that had a cold and sneezing over them. your samples are incased for history my friend. 😉
  5. Sounds like CGC need to halt new submissions for 2 or 3 weeks, to clear the backlog.. or at least inform new submissions what the situation is with processing new submissions (20 business days to just register new submissions onto the system) Unless something changes the backlog will just grow and grow...
  6. Hi, are the packages opened in the order they are received date wise? And does the turnaround time for a fast track (for example) start once the books have been received in the system? thus, the total time to grade a fast track modern book is 23 days + a couple of weeks? thanks.
  7. The next option they will introduce is a fast track unpack and register, $20 per package received
  8. Correct me if I am wrong, but by posting to the London office, they then have to ship them onto the Florida office. And at this point they are entered on the system (within a week of receiving in Florida). No grading etc is done in London. I’m in the UK and I pay for a fedex 2 day shipment direct to Florida.
  9. Sorry you didn’t answer my original question. The fast track turnaround time has increased again today to 26 days. I know they are a guide, but I would just like to know for reference.
  10. Hello, If a book is submitted fast track, and at the time of CGC receiving and logging in the system the current fast track time was stated as 18 working days. But since then the turnaround time has increased to 24 working days fast track. What is the aim, to complete the process within the original 18 working days? Or now 24 working days? Thanks.
