  1. That's awesome. Love discovering new variants. Congrats.
  2. Is that a sticker Barcode? It looks like it. That's the fourth variation for these I've seen so far.
  3. I’ve been wanting this one for a while so was happily surprised to find it lurking among a number of drastically overpriced back issues at an antique mall. I almost passed the bin by but decided to thumb through quickly and I’m really glad I did.
  4. My friend moved to the Netherlands last year and had been mailing stuff back home to his family’s store. I picked these up from them yesterday. I can’t read them but thought they looked pretty sweet.
  5. I started this challenge back in 2021 and after reading most of the Usagi Yojimbo run in January of last year, I stalled out spectacularly by only reading a book or two for the rest of the year. Hopefully I can read all my pulled books that I failed to get at last year.
  6. I've fallen for some stuff before. Nothing this egregious. Usually its because I'm shopping super late at night or super early in the morning and my smart brain is turned off. Some people get so excited at the chance at a great deal, they also take a chance on a sketchy opportunity. Because sometimes gambles pay out. A number of years back, a Facebook group featured a guy in South Africa that had a case of unopened Tiger Force Outback figures from action force. He was selling them at a great price, but the hoops to jump through and the lack of buyer protection made it a scary proposition for most. But some guys spent some decent amounts of money and I believe they all received their figures. Back to this topic though, screams scam and definitely against Ebay TOS.
  7. I just ran across a upc version yesterday so now I need to remember where I set it. I’ll compare the two as soon as I can locate both again. Lol
  8. So doing a little more digging online, I’ve come across these two packs. I’m wondering if that is what the No UPC issues may be from. Hoping someone knows.
  9. As I was going through my collection tonight, I noticed that my Batman/Spawn War Devil doesn’t have a upc. I did a quick search on eBay and I couldn’t find any that were like mine so I was wondering if anyone knows the story behind this. Is there a search term I need to use to look it up on eBay? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. It’s been a while since I’ve snagged anything of note for the pc, but mt buddy was having a sale today and he hooked me up with these three. I’m really glad I decided to make the drive today.
  11. Saw this one at a shop today and I couldn’t pass it up for over half off cover. My omnibus purchasing has really been Guardians focused recently.
  12. I went hunting this weekend and brought home some fun stuff. Double Cover Sword and Sorcery, Megaton 3, and First Beta Ray Bill were the highlights, but the others are fun as well
  13. I bought a lot of M.U.S.C.L.E figures from Srezvan and it was a great transaction. He gave me a good deal on them and shipped quick and safely. Would definitely do business with again!
  14. This one showed up today! Got a spot for it right next to my New Warriors Omnibus. Can’t wait to dig into this 90’s awesomeness.
  15. 19-26 I was cleaning up today and forgot about these. I read them right at the start of the year and then set them aside to be filed. Maestro: Great ending to this Maestro origin tale. Already signed up for the next Maestro mini. I love Peter David’s return to the Jade Giant. Marvel: these are fun. I’m typically a fan of anthology style books. Bounty Hunters: I was losing interest but 4Lom and Zuckuss joining the fray have kept me into it. I’d be happier if the main character was “retired” so we could get more of the Gand and Droid duo. Transformers Back to the Future. Fun though silly. Keeping me entertained. Stranger Things DND: I love the old rulebook style covers for this series. The story is enjoyable as well. Transformers Galaxies: I’m not the biggest fan of this story arc involving Ultra Magnus. I suppose it’s been hard to warm up to him when they’ve had so many different backgrounds for him. It’s like they try to make him interesting and continually fail. Bright side for this arc is that one of my favorite characters, Octane, is hanging around. The Boys Dear Becky: Good end to a decent series. Favorite parts of the run were swing the flashbacks to Butcher and the Boys keeping the supes in line. The Annie Hughie story was fine but dragged at times. Overall I was happy to delve into the world of VA. Jinny Hex: This was a neat little one shot giving some more background on the unpolished Young Justice member. We learned a bit more about her background and capabilities. I hope we get some more Young Justice in the future so we can see her develop in a team setting.
  16. Scored this for a buck today. I didn’t realize it was a flip book until recently and remembered seeing the other side showing in the bin the last time I was there. I swung back by today and it was still there.
  17. 1-18 Finally getting around to logging my reads this year. I’ve been working on a long series that I’ll log at a later time, but in between chapters, I’ve been trying to keep up with my 2020 pull list. Future State: So far this has been fun. I’ve been grabbing as many as I can, though I won’t be reading all of them as my income isn’t that disposable. So far, my favorites have been Wonder Woman, Justice League, Next Batman, and Justice League. Superman/Wonder Woman was also pretty good. While being dropped into the middle of a new setting isn’t typically a problem to me, the various books handled it with varying success. Wonder Woman was my favorite in this instance, Superman was my least. I enjoyed the larger books despite their higher price tags. Multiple stories per book really helped flesh out the settings without beating you over the head with details in a single story. Can’t wait to see some of the others. Death Metal: Great intro to Future State. Epic battles, new mythology, amazing art, what’s not to love? Star Wars High Republic: Lucked out and my flcs through one in my box for me despite me forgetting to order. It has potential to be my new favorite modern Star Wars story. I tend to enjoy stories with new characters as they have more space for development than established ones. Stranger Things Science Camp: Nice end to a fun series. I wondered how they would wrap up the story and wasn’t expecting what really happened, though I probably should have. This is one that my kids love and it’s nice having something we can all read and enjoy together. Crossover: This story is moving up the list of my favorite comics. The special guest at the end of this issue was a fun surprise and it will be fun to see where they go. Dark Multiverse: Dark Nights Metal: I guess this was the wrap up of the series? It was fun much like the others, though the theme of hopelessness is still prevalent. Curious to see if they continue with this format for future elseworlds like tales or if this truly was the last of these. The Cimmerian: Frost Giants Daughter: This series is pretty awesome and definitely not Marvel. It is more honest to the books that I read in high school and the art is more of the sword and sorcery style that I fell in love with back then. Scout’s Honor: Post Apocalyptic Boy Scouts? Yes please. This story managed to introduce characters and a world in one book. Fresh look at the end times without having to resort to zombies. Looking to be a great year and I already have three short boxes waiting to be read for this year.
  18. I scored a couple fun ones today. The Wonder Woman cover is very striking and was in pretty nice condition for the price.
  19. Score this at thrift shop for a buck. Thought I was getting a cheap GN, didn’t realize it was a scarce printing.
  20. Hit up another antique mall yesterday and the single issues were priced at fifty cents and magazines were $1. I think I made out pretty well.
  21. Hit up a shop that’s off my usual path. Scored these putting me closer to finishing the Cates Venom run and my Harbinger run. $30 for the stack seemed pretty fair.
