That 'one executive' is Victoria Alonso, President of Of Physical, Post Production, VFX And Animation and Executive Producer of MCU movies since Avengers (2012).

Marvel Studios Promotes Victoria Alonso To President Of Physical, Post Production, VFX And Animation

When Disney was purchasing Fox Studios, she was one of the transition executives for the Marvel films from them. And after that Captain Marvel interview, it was assumed that line in Dark Phoenix about X-Men not accounting for female members came from her. The two matched up so much.

As far as The Mutants, when Feige first announce Fantastic Four was in the work at SDCC 2019 he referred to the X-Men as 'The Mutants' which also lined up with Victoria Alonso's comment.

I took it as not all mutants are X-men when he said that?(shrug)

Seems silly to bring back the cartoon with the name and then change it

also they have an entire comic line with the name, no way they change it

    panic/fear is all I’m seeing

yeah maybe.  My point was that Feige didn't want mutants defined as x-men which seems logical to me if true.

  3. I believe there might be some misunderstanding.  From what I recall (I maybe incorrect) Feige didn't want to start with the X-men but wanted to start slowing introducing Mutants and then lead into an x-men movie.  Then there was that one executive who said something like X-men was an out dated name and should be changed...(shrug)

Uncle Ben elimination all over again

True and interesting.  Unlike Spider-man they will have to explain how the came into existence even if it's as simple they just got their powers after End Game...

When people stop going and they lose money.

I actually think that maybe coming for the MCU if things keep going the way they are.  Well, maybe not lose but not nearly as great as a return on such big budget movies. This will generate a greater risk for Disney, quality may go down as a result and the "base" may leave. It's a negative cycle.  I have no proof of this, it's just my hunch.  The companies may not care as long as parents still buy the merchandise for their kids.  That's where the real money is anyways.

The reality is that comic book collectors has never been the target audience that marvel has been looking for -

True but the "base" generates the excitement and are more likely to see it more than once in the theater I think?

it was an entertaining film, although I found the premise of Wanda wanting to acquire children from another multiverse kind of strange as she never actually had children. Some kind of tie-in to the WandaVision TV show that I never got into(shrug).

Yeah, I forget who said this but they made the point as to why Wanda didn't go to a Universe where the twins were orphaned?(shrug)

Considering neither of those demographics you mentioned are terms that have been used for decades now (even in schools), I would say it's a safe bet they won't be marketing to those by name specifically without massive problems :D

Indigenous peoples covers both groups just fine, though it is also fine to get specific with Inuit/Yupik (I do get what you were saying and nobody is offended, no harm no fowl - I just found it amusing when in a post regarding inclusiveness so figured it best to post a clarifier for everyones benefit).

One a side note: There is a massive push right now in tech and media for inclusiveness of Indigenous peoples, as they are a giant untapped market that requires very specific work to even reach in the first place (let alone to get it right). I can't go into too many details due to NDAs but the projects Facebook/Meta has in development are very impressive with the care they are putting in handling it (as all of it requires working directly with the tribes to translate complex tech terms & concepts correctly, often needing to formulate brand new language and syntax in order to even reach the people).

    What about Eskimo brothers?
