  1. How about foregoing 'Save The Universe' stories and, instead, get Namor rights (from Universal?) and make a 'personal' movie about jealousy, Thing and Johnnie banter and saving the city from an Angry Sub-Mariner. Keep Doom far, far away.
  2. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but there may be a hint of what The Defenders will be facing toward the end of Jessica Jones.
  3. I think we're witnessing a fairly new medium applied to a comic book narrative: 'The 13 hour movie'. And it's perfect for comic book storytelling. TPB length live action, conceived, written, produced and presented as a single arc. To be consumed at your leisure. I hope Daredevil changes the comic book adaptation landscape forever. We get a million more of similar quality and wallop. It's a way better medium than the 2hr-cinematic-universe model. Can't agree more. And with the size and quality of home televisions, and audio, the experience couldn't have been had with tube TVs.
  4. Bottom row, far right works for me..... GOD BLESS... -jimbo(a friend of jesus) (thumbs u I had the same thought. Amazing ... I thought the same thing before seeing your reply.
  5. Amazing how a trailer like this 'slips' in among DD Netflix mega-hype following its release, and AoU only three weeks away!
  6. Also, another way this model is so new and exciting is that the show has immediate worldwide reach without Netflix having to deal with anyone else whatsoever. No foreign distributors, theaters, heck even no UPS to send prints!
  7. Another of many nice things about the Netflix model is that they aren't 'commercial' in the sense that they rely on advertising, DVD sales or syndication to make the money. Netflix negotiates a price and pays it. That's it. If their internal metrics (which aren't made public) show it is popular enough among current customers -- and is among the first thing viewed by new customers -- it is worth it. Given a worldwide subscription base topping 54mm and growing there is zero chance this won't get a second season. Maybe with the Punisher and Moon Knight thrown in? Ghost Rider? Blade? Are we seeing the Marvel Knights imprint showing up in 13-episode arcs?
  8. That Bendis Daredevil run was what got me back into comic books after 15 years out of it. I had my fingers crossed that this show would reflect that as much as possible and thankfully they have done a great job... Funny, my experience exactly, except after 20 years. Nephew traded me the 'Lowlife' arc for an early Spectacular Spider-Man and it remains one of best CIC arcs out there. Couldn't be happier with the show. My wife is hooked, too.
  9. He is a chameleon of an actor. Look him up, you will be surprised at the number of movies he has been in and how different he has been in all of them.
  10. Looks like Marvel is improving upon its commercial TV formula, going to school on the Agents of Shield experience given better production value (lighting, cameras and art direction) and smaller-in-scope storytelling with 8 Episode 'mini-series.' Excited to see it!
  11. Listed a hot book on eBay using GSP (I know it's controversial, but I did it) and: -- An international buyer won the auction. -- After winning, refused to pay unless I sent it to him outside of GSP saying the site wouldn't allow him to pay -- I politely declined, opened a case -- Called eBay, verified he could pay -- Closed the case, called eBay back and made sure he wasn't dinged negatively -- Relisted the book and ... guess what? -- Same buyer won the same book -- Again, refused to pay unless I sent to him outside of GSP -- Finally looked into it, found flat-rate international shipping said I could send it but wanted to not re-list the book a third time, instead wanted to close deal here on the forum -- He refused, saying he wasn't protected I have opened and closed a non-payer case, blocked him on my eBay account. Not sure how people here view my conduct, and that's OK. Anyone here want his handle? He has single-digit feedback, so I guess he will simply start a new account and try the same shenanigans until someone like me refuses to play ball.
  12. I'm guessing it's going to be Miller's Man Without Fear's origin costume. I think it would be great if they worked that in! That also means Stick and Elektra. Stick is cast! Scott Glenn ... another superb choice: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/09/15/scott-glenn-to-play-stick-in-daredevil
  13. I find myself invested into this show. I'm in the camp that thought the flick wasn't that bad, but DD is my character and the backbone of my collection. I have a good vibe from what's going on ... particularly with Kingpin.
  14. I'm hoping that costume is his first makeshift one as depicted by Miller. If that's the series-long costume there's trouble looming in my mind.
