I was showing this book to a fellow board member and he said that it looks to have been color touched. I wanted to get some second opinions. So as not to taint the pool, I’m not saying where he thinks the CT is present. I’ll probably get out the black light to double check here in a bit.

My sister sent me this pic this morning and I thought I’d share it with you. My nephew is on the left and there I am on the right with my Strawberry Shortcake doll. I’m thinking this was in 1982 on Christmas Day. Today will be the last day I am promoting the GoFundMe. I want to thank all of you that contributed items or cash. Animation cels. From my understanding the backgrounds on the MOTU featuring Man-At-Arms and Orko and the one featuring Beastman and Evil Lyn are reproduction backgrounds. Stratos and Ram Man is an original production background. I also believe each character may be its own cel. I’m not sure if value is impacted by handling these so I haven’t taken them out of the bags. Comparable prices on eBay are a little hard to sort out so I’ll just throw this out here… TMNT $50 Ram Man and Stratos $120 Evil Lyn and Beast Man $100 Man-At-Arms and Orko $100 Whole Lot of four $300.

Marvel Graphic Novel lot. I believe all are first prints. I didn’t see anything on the interior publisher info to tell me otherwise. $200 OBO for the lot. All are in pretty great shape, I noticed some minor dings (perhaps from finger nail indentations) in some of the covers.

I told my wife to sell it all to the first person that makes her an offer. The life insurance can save her the headache of dealing with it. :-)

The number one thing that works to my advantage when buying a collection is that most people don't care about the value necessarily. They just want to reclaim the space. They like the idea of a dealer buying it to resell so that it can end up with other collectors. Not everyone wants to make it a part time job to liquidate their collection...and honestly I don't blame them. If selling collectibles doesn't bring you joy and it's not your primary income, then why spend time doing it?
