  1. This one is even more flippy (is that a thing?) I traded it during a CAF Live, and then the guy on the end of it worked his own deal with it, and then don't know, but it ended up in the first listing you shared. So it's got a sad moving story. Hopefully it finds it's forever home soon as it's a nice enough page!
  2. That's a big loss given the fees on the eBay sale, never mind shipping and taxes on the original purchase.
  3. Another pairing of page and prelim, but also getting the masterful Stelfreeze signature when getting it. LOVE the botton panel.
  4. Prelims & finished pieces are meant to be together. Here are some Kevin Nowlan New Mutants pages that got reunited with their prelims a few years back.
  5. If the artist is saying to work through Cadence that makes me think it's not been paid and it might be risky to wait. If your payment is under 3 months, you could indeed claim with PayPal and it's up to you if you think that's the best action. If it's outside of that window, I'm not sure what is best to do beyond cross your fingers and hope. Sorry.
  6. Any site not hosted by CAF seems to have a regular job that pulls in new art at that time. So I think that's a CAF process, not Cadence keeping going like business as usual.
  7. They didn't seem sparse to me - Almost 500 tickets sold so that's roughly your number. Not everyone attended both days and some folks juggled family and theme parks. Each table, from what I saw, had a good number of people each time I walked buy checking things out. Clearly it's not SDCC or NYC numbers, but that's the appeal. Pure art people mostly. There were some more local folks who were just there for signatures for people that wouldn't normally be accessible to them.
  8. I'll be there with Mike & Laura Allred. I'll be bringing a couple of portfolios of their art, and then some pieces from my collection for sale that I haven't offered before. Or shown before. Come by and say hi...
  9. If that prelim is 10k (or thereabouts) all-in, then the final art for the litho of the same/similar image looks well priced: https://www.britcomicsart.com/GalleryPiece.asp?Piece=16906
  10. I'm going to be there with Mike & Laura Allred and will have some pieces from my collection for sale, and a couple of select pieces specifically for trade. Like the one below, which is a must for Nightcrawler fans . If you have a Hughes panel page from the same story or any of the Gen 13 stories he did, I'd like to talk!

  12. There are charity pieces, and he opened up a commission list during COVD, but otherwise I think it's at-con doodle drawings.
  13. @JadeGiant, I'm curious given what your main focus in and how you started, what was the first published page of art you picked up?
  14. My memory is fuzzy but I'm pretty sure this is my first. An eBay buy for sub $100 in 2000 or so. John Bolton Classic X-Men backup page.
  15. I'd get it finished, especially if the original now looks incomplete/half-finished. There are plenty of cases of the artist "completing" the art before parting with the originals. If it was not the original artist, that would be a very different answer.
  16. Hi Y'all, I'm looking to pick up a Rick Leonardi Spider-Man page, not from his 2099 run. If you have a page with Spidey featured, please shoot me a DM. Thanks! Simon
  17. Ouch indeed, but the May price is more in line with what I would have expected from the first listing. 1k was way too much for that page unless I'm missing something.
  18. Is this the Ghost Rider page with no main characters (or no costume characters), with no action? That's not even close to a fair comparison if it is. Different style, and lack of content. But more lack of content than the style.
  19. This is not the piece that was recently in Heritage. I originally bought it via John's rep back in early 2000s, sold it to a friend, who eventually sold it back to me. No auction site involved. The Heritage auction was for the next page which has a very similar strip.
  20. I can play this show something not posted anywhere else game. John Bolton Books of Magic 1 page 1. I used to own it in the early 2000s but sold it for whatever reason, and then got it back a couple of years ago with a free frame!
  21. This one is a sold piece so the only comments should be to @foreigner1999 to change the sale status to stop tricking people in to thinking they have a chance at getting it! ;-)
