  1. By far the toughest. I have a feeling how this round will go (in terms of the answers) and if they go the way I think (which I will reveal when the grades come out), it was a very very well thought out round.
  2. Cover appears detached or barely hanging on. Because of that combined with the other wear I think a 3.0 is best case scenario here . If the cover were firmly attached I could see as high as 4.0 As for whether it’s “worth it” to grade, you’d have to consider what a 3.0 sells for and determine if adding an additional $40-50 to do so is worth it on top of what you paid for it
  3. Looks 5.0-5.5 for me. It could hit 6.0 but that stain or whatever on the back might prevent that
  4. Is it next level must have content? No Is it a fun series that’s cheap to collect with decent art? Yeah.
  5. 5 for me. I was way too far over on the Shocking Mystery (had 6.5). Otherwise two bullseyes and two off by just a hair.
  6. Mine are in:) I mean they could be so wrong it’s almost better they weren’t but….c’est La vie
  7. Last one Walt Disney Comics Vol 6 Issue 1 1945 Looney Tunes #53 1946 The Disney ish has spine wear but overall a solid book. Small ink smudge bottom of cover. Calling it 4.5 The Looney Tunes had some wear lower spine. Calling it 2.5-3.0 For the pair, $75USD
  8. SPECIAL OFFER Take all four above for $575USD shipped as a bundle Won’t be valid if someone claims one
  9. Real Life Comics #11 Schomburg cover or so they say. Detached cover. Rust at staple. Other wear present as seen. A solid 2.0 IMO Asking $200USD
  10. Suzie #49 Solid lower grade copy. What you see is what you see. 3.5-4.0 range Asking $275USD
  11. Wilbur #8 Spine wear, small chip missing top edge of cover. Foxing to back cover. Calling it a 3.5 or so Asking $225USD
  12. Shadow Comics #7 The roughest I’ll be posting. The only reason this cover survived is because some kid glued lined paper to the inside front cover. The cover is detached and in tatters Rest of the book is held together well. Still only a 0.5-1.0 Asking $65USD shipped
  13. Hi all, Small Golden Age thread coming your way. PayPal for payment please. Shipping is included in the price listed. Always open to offers. First claim trumps all else. If unhappy upon arrival, let me know and we will work it out. As always, happy to answer any and all questions! Oh and I am shipping from Canada just so you know
  14. So out of pure nostalgia, I buy a hotwheel every now and then. I have no clue what I’m doing but I go for cars I like (usually muscle cars, especially ones with more metal than plastic). Well this was at the grocery store and I grabbed it, thinking nothing of it. But for funsies I googled it when I got home and was floored!
  15. This makes sense. In those examples though were the glasses attached to the comic in some manner, in which case you can clearly see where they were removed? With the book I have I see no indicators of such a thing. Hence I do not know if they were attached to the comic in some way. If someone else had a copy of Blackthornes 3-D Sheena with the Dave Stevens cover to know that would be the ultimate answer
  16. Yes this is the book in question I cannot see anything inside the book (a page or anything near the staples) that would suggest that the book had the glasses attached inside. And the other 3-D book I have from this era (The Alien Worlds issue) was acquired with the glasses just "in the bag". Upon researching then, I determined that yes these glasses were correct for the book but had always wondered how they were distributed or if I was missing how they were attached (other than just being slipped inside when purchased). When consulting the CGC census on the book in question, there are 202 graded copies that are blue and only 3 qualified copies. I wish I could know why those 3 were qualified to get a sense if the glasses (or lackthereof) played a role.
  17. Hi all, I had a question about how CGC grades books from the late 80's/90's (or any I suppose) that came with the 3-D glasses. Many of the times I find these without the glasses and I wondered if CGC gives the book a green label in these cases. Can anyone confirm? I mean, I know that ASM #238 without the tats is considered green label (or hit hard with a low grade blue label) and I also know a book missing a poster or pinup is treated the same way but was unsure if the 3-D glasses were. Curious because if I ever do send in my one Sheena Queen Of The Jungle 3-D comic (double cover too!), I would like to know what label I could expect.
  18. I'll say! I bought a lot of 30 or so of his covers in 2019. Those same books are worth close to triple what I paid then, when looking them up on an individual basis. And a few of his covers like the Planet Comics and Space Vixens issues are much higher now than a few years ago. Well deserved for a great artist who was not with us long enough.
  19. Pressing won't have any negative effects unless the presser is bad at their job. If doing for free, I would definitely say sure If charging you $10-20 per book, well that gets super expensive and is not worthwhile at all for these books. Especially if you are a reader collector and especially if you don't plan on reselling soon. The "damage" that the books currently show won't get worse (if stored properly) so I would not worry about pressing in this case.
  20. 6 for me Like many I undergraded the Supersnipe. I had 5.5 and convinced myself to go 5.0 I was also a grade lower on the Super Mystery. The rest, two bulls and one a grade under. I’m still in the “there a hole in hell zone” so I’ll take it
  21. My nemesis! Hahaha, I was very excited to get it, along with some others in that auction that I think went for a song The Pep splash makes sense, as it def looks splash page-esque!
