  1. I mean I have no desire to own a 10.0 book. Are they rare? Sure only because you have a company deciding the difference between it and a 9.8 which to me is so minimal the money isn’t worth it. If I lucked into such a book in a collection it would be sold as soon as possible.
  2. Better pics needed but 8.5-9.0 seems like a starting point
  3. I don’t think the end is near. If wacko doomsday preppers are not freaking out I don’t think we should. However extreme measures must happen in order to save tens of thousands.
  4. Due to the fact I haven’t shaved in a few days, I came back graded 7.0. Thought for sure I was VF worthy.
  5. Yeah 4.0-4.5 because of the spine split. Without it, easy 5.0 candidate.
  6. I have to go a tad lower. 3.0-3.5. It may get 4.0...is that just a crease on the reading edge or is that a full on tear?
  7. I automatically would grade it Fine. Book can be had without a staple pop easy enough. The staple pop hurts and most collectors wouldn’t want such a defect on a book unless it was an old book. Old being from the 30s to the 70s
  8. Yeah usually that’s the case especially since your flaws are spine ticks and one crease really. The gloss and pepper quality looks very good on that book.
  9. You have light spine wear and that corner crease. Otherwise that thing is exceptional. I’m thinking Fine as I know GA books grade different. If it were from another era, 5.0 seems right but I think this has Fine potential for sure.
  10. I’m at 6.0 as is. I think this has 6.5 or dare I say 7.0 potential.
  11. Great story! Recently I have struggled with the decision of should I sell some stuff to get some things I want. Yet every time I think of what books I’d be selling, I can’t imagine not having them. This story and those feelings tell me not to sell and to just save up because I can still have my current cake and new cake too. Just requires patience!
  12. Who buys a high grade slab of a nothing book?! To me paying $15-30 for a book you can get for $1-3 raw in similar condition is silly. Unless of course you are putting together a graded run or something.
  13. I had ASM 9.0- yeahhhhhh Eternals 7.0- oucchhhhhh. Thought the corners and edges were too rough. Sometimes large scans have me overanalyzing. I can tell you the last grading contest we had I did okay and did NOT view large scans MS 5.5- Thought it looked better. I also called this one having the resto...did I catch the right spot between the words "spotlight" and "on" there was a black spot that looks different coloured than the rest. Any confirmation @BlowUpTheMoon just to stroke this losers ego TTA 7.5- yeahhhhhh And I lost. Congrats @Wipple
  14. The only character who moderately intrigues me is the vampire kid. Has that angle happened before? Someone taking Morbius' blood and getting his abilities? I mean its not unique but compared to the others that are just sad. I always thought the original New Warriors were lame anyways sooo....
  15. I am also in the 5.5-6.0 range. The staples are funky but hey, that happened with books in the early 60s. I have seen before and I dont see other staple holes anywhere to suggest it could be anything like a restoration.
  16. 3.0-3.5. Lots of little things that hurt despite the cover presenting well.
  17. Oof grades all over here. Spine and rip near the staple suck. I think without the rip, you could be looking at closer to 5.0. As is, I think GD is too low. I would settle somewhere around 3.5. I have seen CGC generous before though, and would not be surprised at a 4.0.
  18. Big or small usually most everyone get something which I think is great! This year though seems like a lot not A lot of donations is all.
  19. Is it just me or are the prizes lacking like TP on grocery store shelves??
  20. Took me five minutes on ebay. Some tips? Look at what buy it nows start at for the issue or similar issues. Those prices are likely pie in the sky. Then check sold listings. This will give you a better idea, at least of the point where they sell. You can then price accordingly.
