  1. I feel like there may not be a book that exists in all grades including those two is all. I just figured with the amount of unique collectors in this hobby, someone would have taken a stab at this. I know guys who have multiple copies in the same grade but in every grade!?!? Surely it exists.
  2. Is there an issue of a comic that exists CGC graded in every grade? I am sure a book that gets submitted a TON like ASM #300 is. Better question...is there someone out there who has made it a point to collect a graded version of a single issue of a comic but in every possible grade? Like owning a CGC 0.5 all the way to a 9.8 of a specific issue? Seems like a unique challenge and I wondered if anyone out there had attempted it or knew of someone who had.
  3. It was? Coulda sworn I saw an issue of Undead Zombie Biker Chickens From Hell and it looked how I described it :P
  4. Yes, and I do think some of the panic is over the top. Because this thing has symptoms that mimic a flu, there are lots of whispers, "oh this person might have it, oh that person". .And until they verify, which takes time, you have people in quarantine for safety reasons. Either way, the spread factor is alarming. I am happy that Canada appears to be doing a fair job at containing, however I think the next month will really tell us a lot. COuld be out of control and literally everywhere or could start to be contained. We shall see.
  5. What a conspiracy at the time? I mean, I don't think there are as many conspiracies out there as some people but I think its naive to not think there (and have been) at least a few. I totally believe governments would try to hide the spread of a new virus. Heck it happened with this. All I am saying is the response is more than I have seen in my lifetime and the potential unknown of it all and fear that seems to be spreading (whether legitimate or too much) is interesting.
  6. Yeah but the reaction then was not like this. Does that mean we have learned and are preparing better? Or is this worse? It sure seems to like to spread.
  7. Are people overreacting? Are we underreacting? Should people travel (March break is happening next week in Canada with schools off for the week)? Should concerts and large events be banned? Will sports teams play in front of empty arenas in North America? Will large cities go under quarantine? Will there be a cure? For me, its the great unknown of this all. I think we are overreacting in some ways, not enough in others. Can it be contained? Would require a major hit to major economies for a chunk of time. I am intrigued to see where we are in 6 months and whether we look back at this as another scare or an actual world changing event.
  8. It wasn't not great but it also wasn't not terribly amazing. Overall it was kind of not quite but mostly adequate. I think.
  9. Is this reprint the first complete unabridged reprint of FF #1? Just curious. As for a grade, 5.5-6.0
  10. I don't like thinking any book is 9.8. 9.4-9.6 I think the chance is there for perfection but there is a "book in hand" factor that always comes into play. The texture and feel and gloss. It looks like it has all those things and is very clean and white where it should be, at least from the picture.
  11. True. I look at sold prices and frequency of sales. If I see a book sell once in the last two months for $7, I assume I can find it for less especially if readily available on eBay. If I see a book selling consistently in mid grade for $45-60, I price mine accordingly.
  12. I will. To my knowledge it didn’t hit any major commercial areas. But I will still double check.
  13. Hey all! I am likely heading on a vacation this upcoming week to Nashville. Was wondering if anyone here knew of any good comic stores or antique malls or anywhere comics can be had. I am looking for silver, bronze and copper age stuff mostly. Nothing fancy, just reasonably priced stuff I can flip through and add to the ole collection. Thanks!
  14. Whats the vertical line along the spine in the last pic? Or is that just glare?
  15. Couple stress marks near staples. I feel 9.0 ish is fair.
  16. 4.5 The creasing along spine is too much for a 5.0 from me but not bad enough for a 4.0
  17. You are right! It should say "Gripper Holes and Newton Rings: Why Flipping Comics Stresses People Out"
  18. I used it as a seller and have received as a buyer. The offer I received was still more than I wanted to spend so I ignored it. The offer I sent was accepted immediately, so I was happy. I like it based on those two experiences.
  19. Gripper Holes and Newton Rings: The Life of a Comic Book Collector
  20. Small corner ding too. 9.0, potentially 9.2. To many minor things for 9.4 and up.
