  1. Tales to Astonish 86 Edge wear to top. Somewhere close to VG/FN maybe lower FN range. $7
  2. Frankenstein 6 VG range. Corner creases. Small stain on inside cover. $3
  3. Hi everyone! Just a bunch of cheap random stuff here. My rules are simple: 1. 1-2 comics is $5USD. 3-5 comics costs $8USD. Over 5 comics and shipping jumps to $15 due to size (and the fact I am in Canada) 2. Return within 15 days of receiving. I only want happy collectors so if something is wrong, I’ll make it right. 3. PayPal only for payment please 4. Payment within 3 days of claiming 5. First claim takes it. DM offers are always welcome. If you want references just tell me:) I’ve sold a handful here including an X-Men 94 recently.
  4. I am closer to a 4.0 too. Initially I was feeling 3.0-3.5 which I think a SA book would grade but this is GA and so I think 4.0 is likely here.
  5. I would say the roughness of the spine and the chipping keep it closer to 4.5.
  6. I mean if a page is missing I don’t care what people think it’s worth. To me it’s not worth having and that missing page would always bother me. I would take a 1.8 complete over a 5.0 missing a page.
  7. I feel a lot of collectors started while young, stopped due to life (and often times sold) but then returned later in life to get back what they had. And I guess it’s fair to assume someday you lose be love or it shifts. Take me for example. I collected Spidey only initially. It grew into other Silver and Bronze Age Marvel stuff. Then Batman. Then anything odd or a good read or that had artists or artwork I loved. And now I’ve really worked this past year or so learning about Golden age stuff. I’ve slowed but I still love it. Reading had gotten away from me but I try to read every once in a while. I moreso look forward to retirement (looong eats away) and having stuff to read.
  8. Okay for some stuff they don't. If they really want it they may ignore the fact they have to pay extra to have it shipped.
  9. @FlyingDonut seems to be listing stuff the right way. Nice conditioned books, affordable start price. If you get $5-6 bucks, good and if they climb to $10-15 hey that is great. I scroll through ebay often and the number of people selling $2-5 comics for double or more confuses me. I mean, if you want it to sit on ebay forever and have them also sit in whatever pile or longbox or wherever forever, then you do you!
  10. I would try the forums here for some stuff. Thing is, if you have comics with a value of $4-6 an issue, people don't pay that online. Mainly because shipping and what not puts the cost they are spending up around that anyway, so they will expect to get books like that for $1 at best. You could also be overpricing stuff. Just because a site or book says it is worth $20 means nothing. If a book you have sells on ebay for $2-3 consistently, it is worth $2-3. And if a book you have sells for $2-3 only 5 times in six months, it means good luck because not too many people need or are hunting for it. I usually sell stuff like that for 50 to a buck at small cons A final option is craigslist, Kijiji or whatever applies to your region. Classified ads even online for your city/towns website. Facebook too. I move $1-2 books easily and often for anyone looking for stuff. They just wants comics to read or give to kids or to start back into the hobby, I move books, everyone is happy.
  11. Interesting. This casting and project continues to intrigue me. Farrell as Penguin baffles me the most. He can do crazy but like, between Devito (who did it very well) and Robin Taylor on Gotham, I just feel like really...another screen appearance for the Penguin?!? Why? What can Farrell do that neither of those two guys did, which was play a pasty white faced quirky character? I just don't see Penguin as a character you can do your own interpretation of and all interpretations of Penguin have been the same since the dawn of time. So unless they somehow change that, I am not excited to see it again, ya know?
  12. Yeah...like someone back in the day was like "oh I need to write this down, where is that darn pen....oh here it is! Ugh it is not working...(scribbles on child's comic left on counter)...ahh there we go now it is working!"
  13. I would always say yes to the press, especially for books I believe are 9.0+ Why? At best, you can get a nice bump. At worst, I feel like it ensures the grade I was hoping for (maybe I see a 9.0 but CGC sees 8.5 however the press puts in where I would like). I am not saying a press will solve everything and always get you a bump. But I am saying it happens more often than not. Especially if you consider to sell or one day sell the book you are having encapsulated.
  14. Hulk 181 I own a nice ASM 300. And if I want it signed I will get it signed and graded. Might only be a 9.4-9.6 but that’s god enough for me. I don’t own Hulk 181 so that would be my choice.
  15. Give that sucker a bath and have an elephant sit on it for heaven sake! I foresee 8.0 potential....
  16. Well an incomplete book is a 0.5 grade. So he is saying if he married pages to make it "complete", he would expect it to be worth 30% less than what a regular CGC 0.5 is worth. Scenario time!! Say a coverless but complete copy of some desired comic sells for $100. If someone has taken the time to find a cover for the same book and just put the two together (claimed they were originally together), I would pay a bit more because now I don't have to hunt for a cover. Maybe I pay $150-200 for this book now If the book is coverless and missing pages, I am not wanting to pay more than $50, likely even less. If someone has married the missing pages, I would pay $50-75 If someone has married the missing pages and added the missing cover, I would pay $125-150 You can do math and figure out the percentages and what not but that is how I am feeling in terms of numbers.
  17. I need this issue lol. Gotta pull the trigger before it gets outta my range. If I am selling, I advertise as 4.5. Realistically I think 5.0 is the actuality. Mayyybbbeee a shot at 5.5 with a press although there is a lot of wear along that spine. To me, its the perfect conditioned book. Well loved but also cared for.
  18. That ding wrinkle thang happening to the top left corner sucks. 7.0-7.5. Maybe a press sees it hit 8.0 territory. Sweet variant though!
  19. I don’t think people will care. If someone takes a week to pay, I am honest and say hey I’m not going to post offfice for another couple days now so you will have to wait. Have never had a problem.
  20. Only people who grew up in the 60's, 70's and 80's will have the cool "bought it off the stands" or "got this issue cheap as a back issue" stories. Don't be ashamed of your origin. No superhero dwells on how they became powerful. It is what you do with the power that matters. Aka what you collect and enjoy. And even that only really matters to you. 90% of my collection was bought on ebay. I don't have great stories. But I have great comics and keys and obscure stuff and I love it all and that is what I care to share.
  21. Humour aside, if I had a really old Golden Age or high value key, I would not have a problem marrying a cover or even pages from a beater copy onto a better copy to make it look nice. Even if the missing pages were just set inside the comic loose, I would be happy to know it is complete and I have the whole story. Same with a coverless book getting a cover that I just kept loose over the interior.
  22. A friend of mine married a Paige...they divorced after 8 months. So would grade that pretty low I think...
