As a newbie to this wonderful wintery exchange, I am unsure what your "usual" is.... Bacon, 2 eggs overeasy, light brown toast with real butter and a glass of OJ? -
I am okay with it. My polybagged stuff is mostly junk like Shadow of the Bat #1 (with all the goodies stuffed inside) and a couple others. If they crease and wear and rot in the bag, so be it. Some of the bag art and just the fact they have never been opened appeals to me which is why I am keeping those suckers trapped forever! Muahahaha.

Placeholder for my eventual donation! ...(I am in by the way). -
Also, 90% of comics that came in such bags are worth $1-5 tops so getting them graded just wastes your money, if you were to remove them and do so. I have a few books in the bags from the 80's and 90's and I keep em there because they came with posters and stuff and it is kinda cool to see it still that way. Have yet to see someone show pics of the plastic destroying the stuff inside so until that day comes, I keep some stuff like it was when it was put out for sale. Out of nostalgia though, not for value purposes because again, said books are virtually worthless.

X-Men 94. Great looking book but the bottom staple at the centrefold is detached from the center page only. I will say Fine for this. $285 -

A Little Silver, A Little Bronze...

Tales to Astonish 85. Low grade. Te spine is rough, staples barely holding on but spots on the spine are split. Calling it 2.0. $5 -

The rules: 1) PayPal only please 2) First claim gets it but I am open to offers. 3) Shipping is $5USD for 1-2 books. 3-5 books is $8USD. Over 5 is automatically $15USD and comes with tracking. The other options don’t as that’s the cheapest I can ship being from Canada but if you want tracking I can do it on 1-3 books for $15USD at your request. I will start with a few now and more later and throughout the weekend.

PGM Spawn 1 a 9.9 :)
comicginger1789 replied to Arak Zantara's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
That bottom corner at the spine is too rounded and rough. 9.4-9.6 for me -
Please grade this Unseen #14!

Maybe more so this...I think I was just generous because it is a neat book -
Please grade this Unseen #14!
comicginger1789 replied to Point Five's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
I would be comfortable at a 6.0. Some heavier creasing along that spine but for a Golden Age book, I think that is passable. I absolutely love that "Main Store" stamp on the back -
Collecting While in College
comicginger1789 replied to poorcollector's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
I was faced with the same dilemma when I was in Univeristy. You will find that for a period of time, the buying slows. I took joy in finding deals when I could but I would say these years were my slowest in terms of how much I collected. That being said, I focused on the affordable stuff. Filling in my ASM run from #100-400 was my goal and I stuck to that, focusing on the cheap stuff. Then, once I graduated and started working, I focused on saving up for a bigger book. It all depends on what you really want. If you feel you can save up for a big key, go for it but I found I was always scared to do that because what if I needed money for something? At least the cheaper stuff (which for me at the time 10 years ago was only $2-5) wouldn't kill me. Hope this helps! Also, if you need any later Iron Man or Cap stuff, let me know I may have some to sell and I sell cheap -

Debating whether or not to send this in during Mcfarlanes signing event. Are Mark jewellers common for this issue? Thanks for all opinions!
