  1. yeah but if you get upcharged, your insurance stays at what you declared value when you submitted. I believe I've seen that from CGC comments
  2. couldn't wait to read the next Swamp Thing
  3. Reminds me of an episode decades ago when I had a Gateway 486PC that I bought my, then toddler, son PC games for (shout out to anyone who ever played Putt Putt Saves the Zoo with their kid). The game came with a rebate where you had to register it & clip out the bar code and send it in with the receipt. I ended up going thru a long series of emails and excuses why I wasn't eligible for it. I got so fed up with the run around that I researched the executives of the company , printed out the email chain and included it when writing a marketing executive a letter. I told them I wasn't writing about the lack of the rebate but more about the infuriation from how their reps handled the situation, especially for a long time customer who bought & registered all of their games. A month or so later I got a hand written response from that executive apologizing for the experience and that they wanted me to know they hand walked the letter to that department to show them. I imagine they must have given me the rebate but all I remember is the apology letter.
  4. Go over to the Buddy can you spare a grade section. Take a look at the sticky and post some pics. You'll prob get several opinions on poss grades to help you make a decision.
  5. Would CGC settle a claim for what he put as FMV or FMV based on what they ultimately charged him? Is that specified anywhere how this type of case would be handled?
  6. Ugh, meant to say that I wouldn't be surprised if it cost more than $15 million. That's what I get for posting while taking a morning walk.
  7. I certainly would be surprised if it cost much more than that. Were they using American special effects companies or Japanese ones and maybe charge lesser costs? At any rate as long as it doesn't deter them putting out additional films with similar quality then the cost doesn't matter.
  8. Had a looong day in work yesterday so I took a break in the afternoon and caught a showing. A shame only a dozen people were in the theater cause the rest missed a *superb* movie. I texted my wife afterwards that I should've waited and seen it with her as I think we would've actuallly liked it even without the Big G being her type of movie. The best Godzilla movie I have ever seen. By far. Seemed like a reimagining of the original movie. It was refreshing to see G take a heel turn for a change. This was the best portraying of Godzilla as a real force of nature. The human side of the movie was also excellent. It certainly deserves awards.
  9. Go to Best Buy website and search for Apple TV+. They are offering 3 months of subscription for new & returning customers. I had an Apple TV subscription that I canceled several months ago. I just used this to get 3 free months so I can watch the show. Of course I put a reminder on my calendar to cancel it in 3 months from now as you do need to enter credit card info
  10. Whenever you're interested in selling it, an auction house can prob submit it for you and any fees would be settled when it sells. Obviously you'd need to contact them to get all the details
  11. Pressing for what purpose? They're obviously not going to be any better to read if they get pressed. If you're interested selling it at some future date after you're done with them you can always get it pressed then. I'd recommend getting opinions of known quality pressers rather than someone of whom you have no idea how good they are. I wouldn't worry about a pro doing it; of course you'd have to pay, is the seller offering to do it for free? Congrats on the purchase. I loved Perezs work on WW

    One Piece

Never heard of the various manga and anime shows. Happened to see the previews for the live action show on Netflix one day. Absolutely love the show. Highly entertaining. Have 1 show left to go and not looking forward to having to wait 1- whatever years for the next season.
  13. Nothing undervalued here. Back around the late 1970's to 1980 I found this in the back issue bins for $2. Back then it was prob fair price given the condition (also has a detached centerfold to boot) I used to drool over the much much better copies hanging from the wall but they were well outside my paperboy income
  14. You're asking how to submit comics to CGC? Start here: https://www.cgccomics.com/submit/how-to-submit/
  15. you'd need a paid subscription to GPA Analysis for last sale numbers, or goCollect gives some grades for free using their own FMV algorithm (all grades & recent sales require paid subscription) There's another site called Covrprice.com which gives FMV & recent sales (again you get some for free but need paid subscription for unlimited access) There's always Ebay which gives 30 day history , thought you can get a year history if you have done enough transactions with them
  16. Is there anything special about that issue (1st app etc)? If not, try looking for issues close to it that recently sold and also don't have any special about it goCollect shows a #77 graded at 9.0 selling this past December.
  17. You need to pray more before each game - Our Eagles, who art in Philly, hallowed be thy game; when kickoff comes, thy game is won at the Linc or the other team’s stadium. Give us this Sunday our weekly win and forgive us our turnovers, as we forgive those who trespass against the line of scrimmage; and lead us into the end zone, but deliver us from interceptions. (maybe it could use a little work....) Go Birds!
  18. wouldn't that kinda fall under 'ignorance of the law is no excuse'? The buyer did have options & protections available but chose to forgo them by submitting the book w/o inspection. It's not really a question of what % he or she is at fault. It's what choices are available and what choices are made. The buyer may still have options depending on what Ebay comes back and says and what they may do to the seller's account. Other than that, you are at the mercy of a seller who you would hope would do the 'right' thing but isn't required to.
  19. you can fill empty space with bubble wrap, towels, bookshelf ends etc to keep from leaning
  20. I don't actively collect anymore, but have you considered Trade Paperbacks/Omnibuses/even CD or DVD's to read electronically That may be an alternative to buying individual issues
