  1. That's a busy cover. I don't see any marks/creases etc so I think you have a shot at 9.8
  2. I'd think 7 From that pic I don't see anything that a press would make a big enough diff in. Not really sure how much a dry clean would improve it (if at all)
  3. I also say that's a good range 9-9.2
  4. I was an Atari 2600 expert over 45 years ago. I think the boxes lasted about 5 minutes whenever we got a new game. We had the Superman game but not the Spider-Man one. Before the Atari we had a game system which had different colored plastic sheets that held onto the TV by static cling. Every game with basically a variation of pong. The green one would be tennis, the white one would be hockey etc
  5. I think the declared value only comes into play for shipping and insurance purposes when cgc sends it back to you (and obviously for tier submission level & cost/turnaround time) You can declare it with any value you want. Cgc reserves the right to upcharge you and put the book in a higher submission tier, though I don't think that occurs often from discussions I've seen. As far as what ur book could be worth, it's a question of how much damage could be done to the book and how much it could downgrade it. For ex, I have an X-Men 94 I bought 35 years ago which I just found out had some color touch, but the opinion I rvcd was that it would significantly damage the book to remove it, so I decided to leave it as is.
  6. A value depends on an approx grade. Take a book that is a good example of what you are describing and post it in the "Spare A Grade" forum. Once you get some replies, you can check sites like eBay sold listings or Go Collect for free info against those grades
  7. Large accumulation of spine tics, plus a small spine roll. All the corners are blunted plus that LRC crease. I'd guess 4.5-5.0 range but there looks like 3 or so water stains on the back cover, maybe that drops it down another .5, so 4.0-4.5
  8. What a wacky cover! I think the front looks nice than the back - not sure what % CGC gives to front vs back issues So I'll say 3.5 -4.0
  9. without the stain, I'd think it could be 7.5 So if CGC is as tough on stains as I keep reading in various posts, I'll go 7.0
  10. nice - looks like slight dings on the front left corners and a couple small ones along the spine. Poss some light abrasion under Aunt May. There's that chip like mark on the bottom edge and poss another tiny one under the middle of 'Super-Villian' - some dirt on back cover I'll throw out an 8.5
  11. Really enjoyed the film. The cast did their own singing and did it very well . Rather than presents the songs I actual order, they matched them to what he was going thru in various stages of his life. That plus the fantasy aspects made the film feel quite different from the recent Bohemian Rhapsody.
  12. That front LLC looks a bit chewed up and a fair amount of soiling on the back cover. I'd guess 3.0-3.5
  13. It can be tough to tell a 9.8 from a 9.6 (or even a 9.4) just from pics w/o having the book in hand with the proper lighting etc Do you have a chance? I don't see why not. My eyes don't pick up that cover indent you mention, but again 2D pic vs having it in hand. Plus you could always submit it for a press. You didn't say how much underwater or if this is strictly for investment purposes vs personal enjoyment where the Xtra cost may not be that important (depending on level of "under water") If the latter and you planned on holding it a long time it could appreciate in value too. Good luck
  14. Is that a tear on the back LRC? I'll guess 4.0
  15. With those water stains on the top back cover, I'd guess (and I stress guess) around a 5.5
  16. Nice! I'll throw out a guess in the 6.5-7.0 range. Maybe a press/dry clean could improve it more
  17. Richards - he's a walking, stretching Deus Ex Machina. Keeping with a FF motif: Simonson Thor run vs Byrne FF run
  18. Dazzler - no one who wears half a suspender should ever win anything. better cartoon show: Teen Titans vs Powerpuff Girls
  19. I'm around a 6.5 Doesn't seem to have the types of issues a clean/press would improve but sometimes that doesn't show up on pics.
  20. Hobbes - always liked how Watterson drew that strip - especially the Sunday ones speaking of artwork - Neal Adams Green Lantern run vs Frank Miller/Janson DD run
  21. Well Elton was pretty flamin', so he may have a shot. Monster scenes > Rocket man > godzilla film as a whole
  22. I saw Godzilla at a Saturday morning matinee and my wife and I caught Rocket man later that evening. Rocket man was very entertaining, certainly a better film from beginning to end
