  1. Good to see you, bud! Good to see you too...looks like at least a few familiar faces are still around
  2. This much needed book arrived today. I think I watched it on eBay for atleast 2 years . Anyways, leaves me with just two more to get to complete my registry run. Shogun Warriors #3
  3. I had 3 of these in 9.8w and sold them all, but now I own one again Spectacular Spider-Man #1
  4. I've been slowly adding back to my collection since I sold off a chunk a few years ago, but in the last week or so, I've been ramping that up a bit I used to have a 9.8w of this and now do again thanks to Qualitycomix Man-Thing #1
  5. Congrats Brent! Let's hope he somehow got the money by legitimate means and isn't still robbing Paul to pay Peter. Seems like he got in over his head at one point and had a deal that didn't recoup his money owed, then continued to scam others playing a sad game of catch up, that never really caught up. Hope all the others get theirs soon too and great job Mark for helping and bringing this to light!
  6. Now that I'm officially old enough to run for President of the United States, I might have to start watching some of the things I post. I'd hate to start giving fuel to those attack adds once I announce my candidacy.
  7. Fortunately I love my job, my boss is the greatest guy in the world, all my co-workers are swell, and I never go onto these boards during work hours.
  8. Really, really wierd. I just had a deja vu. That was strange. Well, anyways, back on topic, I've probably gone just beyong some people's line and stayed well behind other's. For me, who I am is not a big secret to share, nor are pics of me and my family. That doesn't reall cross my personal line. I can respect others not doing so though. Usually, if I feel I want to share some personal stuff, I'll do so via PMs with members. I worried a lot more having my daughter out playing around and greeting people comming to our garage sale this last summer. I couldn't help having to consider that anyone of those people could be some sexual predator and now knowing where my daughter lived. I actually tried to keep her inside as much as possible during the sale, but there were times I had to tend to her and the sale simultaniously. Danger is all around us, and we always have to be weary whether online or not.
  9. Yeah, I feel the same way about 2/3rds of Neal Adams' covers. Looking through Batman titles he did covers for, I kept thinking, "Wow, that's not a classic? It should be".
  10. You know, there is just something about those vibrant deep reds and yellows they used on these covers back then that just blow away anything used today.
  11. That's really hard to say. Even when it comes to golden age books, I'd say less than 5% of the bondage covers are designated as "classic". Again, I really don't know what the criteria is in choosing one book over the other. Yeah, I have to admit I'm not familiar with a vast amount of GA material. It was just seeing that from issues #89-94 CGC designated 3 classic bondage covers for one series. I wonder what made each one classic in CGC's opinion?
  12. The more I think about it...Will every "bondage cover" eventually become a "classic bondage cover" as it becomes older - thus becomming "classic" as in "old"? Like take Spider-Woman #6. It says "Bondage Cover". Now fast forward 50 or 60 years. Will it them become a "classic bondage cover"? Just struck me looking at those. What makes a cover "classic"? It's impact at the time, over the years or it's age?
  13. I wonder how long a cover has to be around for it to become a "classic"? What's the most recent on the list?
