Seems others didn’t like all those marks either for $4301.

The 9.6 doesn't look that good to me - is that a color breaking spine tic to the left of the B in the logo, and what are all those white spots? Are those on the case or the book?

Anyone notice the auctions have kind of dried up? There was a while where HA auctioned 9.6s and 9.8s of #4 seemingly every auction. Several 9.8 #9s and 11s over a few months too. Not much new on eBay for a while too. Appreciate the two #1s on CL but it’s pretty slim pickings compared to last fall.

Am I correct in understanding there is no Cartoon Books reprint of 27? I looked at the catalogues of covers on comics.org, mycomicshop, milehigh, etc., and don’t see this anywhere, but it seemed odd that there’s be no CB version of this sole issue. Thanks for any pointers!

Any idea what's going on with this 9.6? There are vertical smudges near the left and right edges of both front and back covers. But they do not seem to be on the outer surface. I can't tell if they are on the book itself or on the inside of the case. It looks like mildew to me. Will a re-holder fix this? There also seems to be curved very light indents around the entire outer edge of the back cover as shown in the photo annotated in red. Thanks for tips!

Thanks for any feedback on this one. What I see is a blunted bottom spine, an extremely thin hairline color breaking crease above and below the web shooters at the left edge of the front cover, and some white spots on the back cover.

Yes, that is waviness on front and back - if possible, where do you think this would land with a press? The faint horizontal line at the bottom of the back cover is from the mylar. Speaking of awesome painted covers, I can't believe I had the great taste to pick this up when I was in high school 30 years ago! Thanks!

Actually, buying a CGC 9.4 #2 started me on this kick, and I am enjoying it even more buying the rest raw, but I doubt I'll find a good #1 raw!
-
Thanks, I couldn't resist picking things like this up after I became a Dad!
