  1. I don't have one, but I think this is a fun idea and I look forward to seeing some pics.
  2. Very true, but I also don't think most people will ever really get the full picture of the things that Lee did or didn't create, not to mention some of the dishonest things he did. He's the Marvel mascot, for lack of a better term, and the vast majority of comic buyers will have no idea, beyond the established myths, of how these characters and worlds were created and will continue to see him as the be all end all in terms of The Marvel Universe.
  3. So young. Very sad. Astonishing X-Men made me fall in love with comics again after being away from them for a while.
  4. He's one of my least favorite Batman artists, but he's not a hack. He's just way too stylized in a way that is bound to be off-putting to some and can also distract from the story.
  5. I just collect whatever makes me happy. It could be a cover that brings back a nice memory or one where I simply love the art, or a story that does the same. It could be an important book at a good price where the joy of a getting a good deal and owning a significant book is what attracts me. I never buy anything as an investment so I'm very conservative with purchases and set fairly hard limits for my spending.
  6. No. I hate the way these articles are framed. These are people who are generally brought over from other countries under false pretenses and promises and then forced into sexual slavery and prostitution by their captors at big events like this and the Super Bowl where people are looking to buy sex. It's reprehensible no matter what, but people are not being abducted and trafficked from these events.
  7. The guy's ego rivals just about anyone's, but I was still shocked that he couldn't leave things where they were and is now insisting on first billing. He should get none. An awful, and cowardly, man.
  8. They had a well-documented track record of authenticating trimmed cards a few years back. I'm not a sports card person so I don't know if that has continued or if they've cleaned up their act. Bad combo if the allusions made about the head grader are true.
  9. I fear this won't be the last time this happens with a Kirby sig.
  10. I think with DC books it's usually about a week before they publish. That's also true of Dynamite and likely a few other small publishers I haven't noticed. The majority are usually the Monday or Tuesday before publication.
  11. Glad I'm not the only person who jumps at the chance to pick up a Police Academy book.
  12. I can't grade for beans and even I noticed this one!
  13. Probably Ma Kent on the farm. Unlike the rest of you, I just want a nice evening of pinochle and apple pie.
  14. Those look almost fresh off the press. Gorgeous
  15. Now that's a mailman who really has to look out for dogs on his route.
