  1. I took you guys' advice and gave the seller a negative.
  2. If that DID happen, it would be unfortunate. I don't think we know when the auction was held though... It wasn't an auction... it was a "Buy It Now" deal. And it's highly unlikely that fanfourforever's scenario came to pass... I didn't post until about 30 minutes after I had "bought it now." I'm very disappointed... I really was looking forward to reading the book...
  3. link? Here's the link... but don't get too excited. Or jealous, for that matter. The seller now claims he no longer has the book. In his words:
  4. I remember that ad! 1976 Overstreet, right? I always wondered what was the deal with that strongman getup he was wearing in that photo. Isn't Theo Holstein the guy who sold the Action #1 to Mitchell Mehdy in 1974?
  5. You guys are going to hate me. I never heard of the Superman "This Island Bradman" comic until now, when I stumbled across this thread for the very first time. The comic intrigued me because it was a private commission, and because of its apparent rarity - only 100 copies or so, according to jerome34. Of course, I never thought I'd get to see an actual copy live and in person, let alone own one. However... just for the heck of it, I decided to search for it on Ebay. I found one copy, which the seller was offering as a "Buy It Now." The price? $1.00. One. Dollar.
