  1. Hmm, this is a book I do not believe I have ever laid eyes on before. Thanks for sharing.
  2. You are 100% correct. Now, per my Reddit conversation, this gentlemen almost implies that this was not a printing error but an actual coloring error. That Glynis had inadvertently specified that Spider-Man's booty be fleshed toned. That's seems like an incredible hard error to make, but his friend (whom he did not name) said the mistake was clearly by Grace (who we surmise was actually Glynis). Lot of assumptions here, so take it with a grain of salt. No idea if this is what actually happened or not, but it makes for Chat board discussion 48 years later, so I like it.
  3. Ok, in just a crazy happenstance, someone on Reddit was looking for the book that this faux pas occurred in. He had posted his question to the world five years ago. I replied today seeing how it was fresh in my mind. He actually replied back today and thanked me, apparently never finding it over the last five years. Now here is the really interesting part, his friend worked in the room with Glynis Wein, who was the colorist for Amazing Spider-Man 157, during this time period and the friend had relayed to him about the error. Such a small world. Love it.
  4. Who knows why the printed page of this original art page by Andru and Esposito is infamous, or at least laugh-worthy?
  5. Really nice books. Most of these were before I started collecting the series at issue 242. I always thought Flash covers were dramatic. I love these.
  6. Probably make it on the tail end of most BA definitions. But I won't complain either way, nice books.
  7. I do wonder sometimes about how bad the original face had to be for Marvel to take the time to correct it?
  8. Lee, thanks the heads up. I can't afford them, but man I love to look at them.
  9. The only part of his head that is not a paste-up is that little tuft of hair, lol. Andru Spider-man original art prices have exploded. I love that he is finally getting the acclaim he deserves, but nearly all pages are definitely out of my resource capabilities. Even character pages are too pricey. I still love looking at them and posting them. Love finding the comments in the borders and the production warts from 50 years ago.
  10. Another great Ross original art page over on Heritage Auctions, from Amazing Spider-Man 175. This is page 22 but HA doesn't look they list the page number. The somewhat interesting thing here is it looks like the image of the Punisher's head in that last panel was altered and a correction piece glued over the top, but appears removed to me. The image below is what was published in the finished comic, meaning someone would have had to remove the correction piece before publishing. Hmm, another theory is that is the corrected image and the glue just turned color after aging all these years. Guess if I had a spare $15K I could find out, lol....
