OP, articulate a question and I'll bet you get some useful answers. This method worked for me on and here a few times. -

Are These Worth Trading - Pt.2?
Chrisgeo1 replied to MareB's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
The Star Trek is a big key. Anything over a 9.0 sells in the $1000's. I just sent one off to be graded and hoping for a 6.0 or so. You probably don't have one in that range, but depending on what you paid for it, I think you should consider. IMO! -
I just finished pressing a copy of The Witching Hour #1 to send off with some other silver age books next week. It pressed out really nice and was hoping for a solid mid-grade for my PC. I remembered that when I bought this off of ebay in 2019 that is had a funny tear by a staple on an interior page. I did contact the seller and made a deal so I kept the book. Long story, kinda short I did a page count today and its missing 2 full pages. They were not story pages so I didn't notice when I read the book. So now I have a really nice, incomplete copy of The Witching Hour #1!! I am glad I counted this one before I sent it off. Count those pages!!!!

The left corner is a bit funky and there is a weird mark by the fire that I took a separate scan of. Hi res scans show so much more than my eyes can catch. Thanks!

What issues are you seeing that keeps it around a 9.0?

PGM Bizarre Adventures #34
Chrisgeo1 replied to Paul J A's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
It’s a really cool book. I am all for getting obscure stuff graded, especially if it is a favorite from my PC. I don’t know if having the only 6.0 makes it rare thought. If that were the case then I should get my low grade Sad Sacks slabbed. Or am I wrong?? -
I bought this as a VF-. I already pressed and cleaned, so if I can get a 9.2.... thanks for the input.

Hi! No, no rips. In fact I took the pics before I cleaned up the back. Those marks cleaned up very nice. Thanks.

Help With My House Of Secrets 81
Chrisgeo1 replied to Chrisgeo1's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
Looking through eBay, I found a few more with this same mark. Could they have been from a different print run? -

Hi. I just picked up a nice House Of Secrets 81. This comic has a line of color right through the kids and right above the dog that you can see in the scan. When I look up other photos of this comic I see some that have this line and some that don't. I now know that this is not just a defect on my copy. How would it effect the overall grade in theory? Its a nice comic that should be very nice after pressing. Just wanted some opinions. Thanks in advance!
